Amazing Indian food. My absolute favorite! I love the Samosas, the Paneer Makhani and my husband likes the Sag Paneer with Lamb and no dish is complete without Kheer for dessert! The service is so fast and everyone is so friendly. This is a true staple of our area set in a beautiful New England setting by the river. Update: I STILL Love this restaurant and have found it to be comfort food. Absolutely delicious.

The buffet menu is limited to very few items. Pakoda served is fried so much and drips oil. Vegetarians will have limited to no options. Rice gets dried and the Gulab Jamun is not edible at all. This is no way a 20$ buffet menu.

Be careful ordering on Uber Eats. I ordered garlic nann for $5.99 and they gave me a cracker which I'm assuming is the papadam which is only $4.99 and not really a good replacement. They still charged me the $5.99 AND put a check mark on the receipt for the nann even though they gave me something different. I get that ordering through a third party can be risky but they should've just taken the charge off.

Been going here since I moved to Shelton 15 years ago. Don't know if there are new owners or new chef. But, this last time 2/17/24 the food seemed more flavorful with cleaner fresher flavors.
Visited Baingan today and was delighted with the updated decor. The buffet was excellent with a variety of dishes which would please everyone. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. We will be returning often!

They made me feel like I was family and they were serving me their home-cooked meal. Everything was fantastic and delicious. We went to a birthday party. This place and ambiance are good. They had riverview Counter. During summer it will be good, I believe. The food was ok. We had buffet lunch, and they had standard veg and non veg items. They can improve on the taste.
