I come here solely for the fries. I haven’t tried many other things from here but the fries alone are worth a stop. Love all the different dipping sauces for the fries too!

5 stars for the French fries alone. Cool non alcoholic drink options if you are stuck being the DD.

Tuesday nights host guest chef of Umebroshi featuring Hawaiian-Asian fusion. If you want a flavor bomb, these are guys you want to meet up with. Chef Rob is one of the nicest folks around. If you're not into that kinda thing - come for the cocktails!! Not only are they cool offerings, but the presentation is top notch. The melon tasted just right, the tiki chip was cool and the dehydrated blood orange was a beautiful touch! It really is true you eat, or drink, with your eyes first!

Always a great time coming to Bar140, it's a neighborhood bar located in downtown Shelton with cozy vibes and great food and drink. Bar 140 is known for their French fries and dipping sauce, perfect to paid with a drink or two. They have a small and a large size, the small is great for 2, order the large if you have 3 or more, it's is quite big. I love their sauces specifically the peppercorn and cajun, perfect pair. They always have a solid list of draft beer, good varieties. Also, they have a nice cocktail menu, my wife got a cocktail with taro tea in it, she loved it especially since it was different. The bartender was very friendly quick, she was on the money bringing out food in a timely manner. This place always has nice decor inside the bar for whichever themed holiday is occurring, great place.

Atmosphere was nice.. service was slow but only because there was only one bar tender..food was delicious...but people in my group didn't get things they ordered before others.Parking: As Saturday night with other bars open made it hard to find parking.

Came in on a Friday night for a drink and a small bite to eat. They had some good options on draft. We ordered the Large bowl of fries and it was LARGE! They have different options of dipping sauces you can try. The peppercorn and Cajun sauces where delicious. A nice low key place for a small dinner or a few drinks.

Came out on a Friday night and wasn't busy at all. Ended up sitting in the back room for a bite and fries. It was dark in there so it was a cool vibe with the downpour of rain. I ordered the jungle bird which was a little underwhelming nothing fancy. The large fries were quite large. We'd definitely come back for another round of fries. But the menu was lacking. Wings were ok, and burgers were thin. Maybe I'll try the tacos next time.

Had a rare kid free evening and was excited to check this place out. It's small enough to feel like an intimate space but large enough that you can have a conversation with your group and not feel like you have to speak over the parties around you. Great cocktail menu and a good variety of beers on tap. Well curated selection of tequilas and bourbon too! I ordered the small frites and veggie burger and you can tell everything is made fresh to order. They have a good variety of things on their menu so everyone in your group is sure to find something.

Nice drinks, good people. Parking sucks, but that's normal for Shelton.

I went to downtown Shelton for the first time in 30 years. This section was all local bars and ethnic clubs back then. So I was expecting a locals bar. I can’t remember what was there 30 years ago. The Burger was good, typical menu, and for a small place it had a good liquor selection. It will surprise some people with it brand choices, like 4 Roses bourbon. It’s clean, the bartender was friendly and suggested a true German Pilsner from a nearby brewery. Brilliant choice. Mixed aged crowd, that means people older than me, and everyone seemed to know everyone. This is not a dive bar, it’s not a destination bar, it’s just what a local should be. I gave it one star more than I give locals if I’m only there once because of the beer and the 4Roses. It broke my heart not to have a wee bit. My guess is that it is packed on weekends with regulars. I was there on a Thursday.
