Went today for brunch around 12pm and it was a bit loud, but fine. Definitely busy. The waitress came to get our drink order fairly quickly and they were delivered but then never asked us if we wanted more drinks or refills after that. 20 min later she took our order and it took 40 minutes for the food to be ready. I got the chicken and waffles which was a bland waffle, Tyson chicken tenders on top, and a side of over salted homefries. We had four people in our party and two got theirs first, 5 min later for another, and 10 more minutes for the final one. At this time, they kept opening the door to bring in DJ equipment which made it hot and cold continuously for about 20 minutes. The DJ started and then we couldn't converse anymore. My friend who recommended the place said they usually start that at 3pm so we thought we had time. They comped one friends bill for it being made so much later than ours but we got out of there as fast as possible. Definitely not a place I'll try again.

The experience at this establishment has changed significantly. I used to enjoy visiting often. However, the bartenders' behavior was rude, unprofessional, and unappealing. If you don't want to work, please find other employment. Please improve your customer service. It appeared they were catering to a specific type of clientele. Don't be that kind of establishment! This incident occurred on a Friday evening. They allow smoking weed and hookah on their patio but not vaping. What is that?! At least allow vaping outside. If they don't allow vaping, which doesn't harm anyone, then they should eliminate all smoking. This makes no sense.Edited:: MY PARTNER & WERE TOLD BY NUMEROUS PPL THAT DAY WE COULDN'T, MAYBE MAKE SURE YOUR EMPLOYEES KNOW EXACTLY WHERE THE SMOKING SECTIONS ARE.

I ate here years ago and enjoyed it but I went back last week to give it another try. The place was nearly empty, it looked a little worse for wear, and it absolutely reeked of weed, like a sweaty armpit mixed with a skunk. We walked out and I wouldn't go back.

This is apparently my 4th review attempt here and the problems are consistent.What can I say about the worst bar in CT?! Well here we go.... I used to be a regular coming here every Thursday for wing night because the great staff who took care of us and the wing cook was the best. They are unfortunately under new ownership without those staff members and it has gone downhill drastically. In the heart of downtown Shelton, this bar will be my last choice, every time.Today they were doing construction inside the bar using loud power tools while we were trying to enjoy our drinks and conversation. They were installing new TVs on the walls so the current TVs were off the whole time. The girl working took a while to actually take our orders for food and drinks and didn't write any food item down. She then came back 15 minutes later to ask again what we ordered.We finally got our food after an hour of waiting. The owners family came in after us, ordered food, and received It before us. We ordered wings for wing night. 4/6 of the items were wrong. The pub mustard wings were supposed to be tossed in sauce but they gave us sauce on the side. My friend's blue cheese was green and yellow and looked like it was going to kill him. My other friend ordered jack'd up Teriyaki, but when all of our wings arrived they THEN told him they didn't make those anymore, after waiting an hour for wings. The 4th issue was my friend ordered garlic parm fries when we first ordered and the second bartender told us she never even put the order in.At one point I saw one of the staff pouring a new drink option for the owner to try. He dropped the plastic Christmas hat on the gross floor, picked it up, and put it directly in the drink. This breaks so many sanitation laws. That being said, the owner family had their 4 year old Daughter walk behind the bar to make a drink (non alcoholic thank god), but this is still a huge violation too. For being the only customers other than the owners family this was the worst customer service ever. Also I wonder if they noticed the piece of wood hanging from the side of the 85" tv that looks like it's about to fall off and hurt someone.We will never Be back!! Bah Humbug Merry Christmas!!

This was the worst brunch experience I’ve ever had. Took over 30 minutes to get a drink, food was delivered at random times and was not good. Dry pancakes with no syrup (they didn’t have any??) I’ve had the Bavarian pretzel there during the week and it’s normally great but the one I received his weekend was gross and greasy with no sauce. They’re using an App now for ordering but it’s a waste and doesn’t work properly as we never got our drinks until we complained at the bar. Would not go back to weekend brunch. Ever.

A family member heard about this place from someone (who must not eat or like food) and wanted to go for a birthday get-together. The first clue something was wrong was when the whole street was bustling and all the other joints were packed while this dump was dark and deserted. It seriously looks like a derelict building inside. One lonely person was at the bar. My little nephew asked if it was even open. While we were sitting there, several parties opened the door, stepped inside, said "hell nah" and promptly left. The "food" was absolutely dreadful. Several of our party refused to even order anything but the rest got a variety of things and none were good. It was like congealed mess you might find at a highway rest stop or truck stop in the middle of the night. It would've gotten negative zero stars for the food and ambiance, but surprisingly the staff were for the most part super-friendly and attentive so I feel bad for them. I doubt this place ever has more than 2 skeletons in it. Avoid.

This is no longer a restaurant. LOVED this place a few years back. But went there today to find that it's not even a restaurant! It's a nightclub/bar (at noon on a Sunday!)! Dark and loud and kinda ugly. Great if you're drunk and 21 and out to party your $#@ off on a Saturday night. But do NOT go here for a lovely meal. Go to here to party. They need to be clear on their website that this not a restaurant or your typical pub with food...

First time there. Bar tenders not friendly or attentive at all. Was not busy as it was a week night went in with a small group for drinks. Gave us separate checks and those of us who paid cash they did not give exact change back. I.e if change should have been $9.37 they only gave $9. perhaps just expecting and assuming the extra change would be left as a tip? Not impressed definitely won’t rush back there

Hello google world! Y’all no my reviews are truthful and on point. I gave this place one star back in the fall and somehow the owner got it deleted. I came back to see the hype again . Service is lacking my waiter guy did not pay attention , I gave one star better because I did enjoy my chicken and waffles, fries needed salt. Drinks were subvalue

Not a very good experience. This appeared to not be a Shelton based clientele or staff. There is no parking other than on the street and parking in the restaurant across the street will get you towed.

Used to be the place to go but it got a bit ghetto/ratchet last couple years. Very locals vibe and if your not in thr "in crowd" or friends with bartenders expect to wait and possibly overcharged as I have been in past. Bouncers are also insecure and feel need to flex as much as possible especially when you're 6ft5 and big.. they feel need to prove themselves by being overly aggressive. Served me a double vodka at 155am once and 2 min later they tried to rip out of my hands. Told them don't serve it if your not going to let me drink it. 16$ drink ripped from my hands from a bouncer with a cop behind him even though I made minimal pushback. We used to go weekly and spend good money between the 4-8 of us. We no longer go. This was not a isolated incident either. Too many reasons not to go back. Food below average as well.Edited post per owner wanting to know what happened.If you want people to be out by 2 am dont serve them a double vodka and soda at 156am...I dont put that on the owner because it was a bartender...was some nights you guys used to have djs. As far as ghetto it was when this big group of Albanian guys from Waterbury were frequenting establishment and they were pushing drugs probably unbeknownst to you and the quality of customer that was coming changed and not for the better. I liked going there but your bouncers have napoleon complexes and felt the need to go get a cop when I made no fuss I just wanted to be paid back my 16$ for it being ripped from my hand l. Was very unprofessional and this is coming from a former bar owner. I too was at fault asking for a drink at that time knowing the laws but if your bartenders were serving others I figured I'd ask as well

Like I said your food is nasty you can not cook I will never go back to your restaurant lol chef trying to make sure the customer are happy when me and my friend was the only on in your restaurant whoever likes your food don’t know good food let’s talk about it you had a whole outsider walking in the back and everything you lucky we can’t go back and forth cause I’m really like that your food is trash no damn back mail polish you saw that orange chef jacket that look like he been wearing it since I was 5 lol but y’all get my point his chef or “owner” you can’t cook. Simple lol I’ll pick red lobster any day then your food.

Please do not purchase anything at this bar! You will be scammed. I was charged 48.18 for a meal that was 18.40 before tax. I tried calling to rectify the issue and receive a refund as I did not even purchase any drinks (I was only there for a friend’s send off party) I was told that they do not offer refunds and I should take it up with my bank. I am extremely disappointed. Please do not spend your hard early money here! They require you to use an app which connects to your Apple Pay. I did not receive a receipt since the transaction was automatic!
