I recently dined at Chaplin, and what an extraordinary experience it was! From the moment we walked in, the floral and vibrant ambiance set the perfect tone for lunch. The restaurant was impeccably clean, which only added to the overall enjoyment.
Our waiter, David, was fantastic. His recommendations were spot-on, especially when it came to drinks. He suggested a delightful drink combination of dill, cucumber, and gin, expertly crafted by bartender Anastasiia. It was a complex cocktail that tasted absolutely amazing, showcasing her incredible skills behind the bar. The flavors blended beautifully!
For food, we started with the oysters and the beet salad, both of which were out of this world! I was so impressed by the beets that I ordered a second order to take home—trust me, you don't want to miss out on them! Our main course was the pappardelle veggie pasta special, which was also delicious and bursting with flavor.
This was our first visit to Chaplin, and they truly nailed every aspect of our dining experience. It was clear that the staff, especially David and Anastasiia, are passionate about what they do and genuinely care about their guests. If you are unhappy, they will correct it and they aim to please. I found Jeffs review below to be unreasonable especially after my experience and Im glad I saw through it to give this place a chance. He could've simply asked for the salt and pepper and it was clear he did not. After an item was removed from the bill, the restaurant is trying to make it right yet he still had a chip on his shoulder-some people cant be pleased no matter what. I for one, can't recommend this restaurant enough and will definitely be returning for a second visit. If you are like me, wondering which place to dine in the area, pick this one. This place is a true culinary Gem. Thanks for the great Dining experience David!

Service is great, but the audacity of the chef to not put salt and pepper on the tables and they cannot make a decently seasoned steak or potato is unforgivable. I've never had a steak beg for seasoned as I ate it, but they were able to pull it off... shit quality rib eye that I would bet any amount of money is NOT actually a rib eye at all but a lower cut that resembles a rib eye. Overpriced arrogant and flavorless is the best description of this place.

My fiancé and I decided to sneak in one last date night before getting hitched—our “final engaged supper” (cue the dramatic music 🎬💍). We desperately needed a break from wedding planning, and this place totally delivered. We had David as our server, and he was an absolute gem! He was fun, charming, and super attentive. He made the evening feel extra special. We started with the beef tartare (I think that's what it was, but whatever it was it was amazing), the warm sourdough with garlic confit and other dreamy dips, and the octopus appetizer, which was cooked perfectly. When it came to drinks, we told David what kinds we liked, and he gave us spot-on recommendations. It felt like he read our minds. For the main course, I had the duck which was so flavorful, and David, if you're reading this, thank you for the laugh with the “quack quack” on the to-go box 😂. My fiancé went with the bolognese. It was really well done, but he admitted he wasn't quite in the mood for it and had a little food FOMO. All in all, it was such a fun, relaxing evening. Great food, great vibes, and truly top-notch service. We'll definitely be back maybe for our first married date night 😉

Food and service amazing! We stopped in for happy hour and ended up staying for dinner! We ordered their burger, chicken cutlet appetizer and the linguini and clams...all seasoned perfectly, flavors on point. Great selection of wines too! Will return soon👍

Never been so disappointed. My family rented the place for a private party a couple years ago and it was amazing. Last night was our first and last time going back.
Our reservation was for 7:30… we weren’t sat until 8:15… and didn’t get served dinner until 9:50pm…
We waited forever for drinks, ordered a grand seafood tower and somehow got a caesar salad instead - which was fixed but says how loud the music was.
Our meals took well over an hour to come out even though guests who sat and ordered after us had finished eating.
We were offered free drinks/dessert but then our drinks were still all on the check… at that point we just wanted to leave so we paid.
We each ordered steaks and were up-charged to swap the sauce on the $65 steaks as well which is insane.
The food and cocktails were good but the service was so bad it wasn’t even worth it.

Dined for Mother's Day brunch with my wife and kid with a reservation. We were warmly greeted immediately by a nice gentleman who opened the door for us. We got seated promptly, served quickly by our waitress who was also very attentive and quick. We ordered two appetizers and our entrees. Timing was perfect and spacing between apps and entrees coming out wasn't rushed even though they were busy. This was our second time there. First was for dinner (amazing dinner, btw) and we are happy we chose Chaplin for brunch. We really enjoyed our fresh made food and service. All staff acknowledged us throughout our stay and made us feel welcomed to be there. Hard to find that kind of hospitality these days to be honest. Will certainly be back again.
