All I can say is David Grant Catering is absolutely amazing. From day one when I inquired about using David Grant for my daughter’s wedding there was nothing but tremendous professionalism. Started off with speaking with Trevor who listened to what I was looking for and what my expectations were and of course with great certainty said they could and would be able to provide the service I wanted. In this day when everything is animated the quoting process and continual communications took place via emails and through the David Grant’s customer portal. With such a process there is little room for miscommunication. Notwithstanding this, you will aways also have the ability to communicate by telephone. For many direct communication is important and I can say that Hector (the owner) took pride in his customer service reputation to make sure he answered a direct call and if not able to do so returned the call in a very short time period. I never ever felt anxious and always was assured everything would be great and done like I wished.
Now onto the review of the food. Again, absolutely amazing. I had done our tasting of what we had chosen for the menu 5 months before the wedding day and the food then was amazing. My daughter of course was there and had approved 100%. The day of the wedding the food was exactly the same as what was prepared for us in a much smaller plate at our tasting. The food was hot and remained hot the entire evening.
Now for the staff. Like I said above, Trevor and Hector were incredible. I was beyond excited when I found out that Trevor was actually going to be the head of the team working. All support staff was incredible and very respectful.
Nothing melts my heart more than having gotten compliment after compliment about the food.
Hector and Trevor I cannot thank you both enough for the most amazing service. I will aways highly recommend your catering company and will alway use you whenever I need catering.

We unfortunately had a terrible experience with taco loco catering (formerly Dave Grant). Incorrect menu prior to our wedding, manager/lead didn't show up to our wedding, terrible communication and zero email response after we reached out x3 following our day (from which I just hoped for any kind of apology and did not plan to leave a bad review or mention our issues publicly hoping it was just a one off and we were caught in the transition of companies). Incredibly disappointed. Of note, they were on the preferred catering list for our venue and the venue manager was also incredibly apologetic as had not had these issues prior but we worked to hire a last minute day of coordinator and luckily the rest of our vendors held it together and made the day run as smooth as possible!

With my heart in my hand and after 35 years of using Dave Grant Caterers, I am writing to let them know again how disappointed I am in them regarding the quality of service I received was on August 3, 2024. (I previously contacted Hector by email and phone, who has not given me any resolution and who said he would speak w/grill and regular chefs, however, never reached back to me with any comments).
I started the relationship with Dave, Sr, and continued it with Dave, Jr. over 35 years ago. Both management teams gave me and my companies A+ Service, Food, Pricing, and Care.
August 3, 2024 - not the case.
Dave Grant Caterers spoiled my bi-annual event where we give back to the community, advertise and plan for this 6 months in advance, and had a financial investment of over $6,000 between their services, gratuities, staff's pay, and desserts. Desserts were not supplied by David Grant Caterers, thank goodness. We "Saved the Date" with with Dave Grant Caterers back in January of 2024, and emailed a detailed menu of what I expected (like I did every year, twice a year for over 35 years).
* The staff was late.
* All of what I ordered did not arrive with the staff.
* The food was HORRIBLE.
* There was some strange flavor in the maccaroni salad, leftovers thrown out that night.
* The baby back ribs were not baby back and were so "Atomically hot" that they were not eatable (3 full trays thrown in the garbage).
* The corn on the cob was hard, leftovers thrown out that night.
* The Swedish Meatballs had no sauce and leftovers thrown out that night.
The "Mini" grinder rolls for the sausage & peppers were LARGE (not mini).
This left us with Great burgers, hot dogs, baked beans, glazed chicken, house salad, watermelon, and beverages that were all acceptable.
The new owners of David Grant Caterers should contact me and offer at best an apology and explanation.

Thanking Trevor as our planner in particular. You made a difficult day into a well deserved tribute for a man who shared a passion for cooking. .
David was excellent to work with, the staff incredibly supportive and the food OUTSTANDING!! David recently catered our daughters wedding and is was simply the best. He was also extremely helpful providing four guests with food allergies.Thank you David and team!!!

Dave Grant catered our wedding at the Fairfield Museum this summer, and they were beyond awesome! Dave was knowledgeable and easy to plan with. The day of, the staff were friendly, attentive, and easygoing, and the reception went very smoothly. We did a cocktail hour and a buffet style dinner, since we were happy to have a slightly less formal option than a fully waited sit-down dinner. Of course, this can make things feel a little more hectic, but for such a busy occasion, nothing felt chaotic. The staff even made sure my partner & I got to eat something during cocktail hour lol. The food was a BIG hit with our guests, especially the swedish meatballs and chicken francaise - we were happy to take home the leftovers of everything else. It was great! Thank you!!
