Great place to eat prices are great. Food always comes with stale buns on their burgers and hot dog buns are soggy, I used to love going here because prices are not high, and the food was great. I go to the duchess in Shelton Ct, Bridgeport Ave. You have a young black gentleman that is outstanding, when taking and giving orders, they do not treat him well. He is a little slow , but much more efficient than most, and very respectful at all.times, and makes sure the order is right, I am sorry, I do not remember his name , but he is always in take out drive through, treat you good help well! They yell at him try to tell him.he took orders wrong, when the cooks screw up, I went in one time,and got back my money, because 2 times he repeated no onions? I watched it, the cook told him he was stupid and at fault, I told that cook you are wrong, I listened to that young man tell you two times , no onions ? Because I had an allergy to them. He was extremely rude, so told the night manager give me back my money! Have not been back for a year, recently went back well.to my happiness he was still on the window, so he made sure my order was right, he deserves a raise, he works very hard and is a honest great worker! Very clean place!!! Treat your help well, because in this day and age, you do not find loyalty Ike this young man gives! He is enthusiastic about his job which also is a us today! No but the hot dog buns are always soggy! I will go back during the day when this young man us on , makes me and friends happy to see him! You also have an older women on nights that is just as good taking orders, and extremely courteous. The hot dogs and their fillings are fine, burgers are great! Get new buns or do not toast them? I will come back again!

September 18,2025. Just ordered a chili cheeseburger. Two of those hot dogs with the works in a small coke. The best thing was the small coke. Too much chili on the burger and the chili sucked. The hot dogs disgusting. They used to be a good food chain. I will never eat there again. Ted

First time trying Duchess. The food wasn't bad for fast food! The inside could be cleaner the floors were sticky, and the place smelled like air freshener in a bad way.

Came here the other day for the first time. The food was delicious and the gentleman that took my order and gave us our stuff with wonderful. I was only trying to figure out why a kid's meal cost the same as an adult meal when the portions are clearly different. I can see myself returning in the future but will be skipping the kids meal for my daughter.

Overall food is good, great cashiers. Props to that, on the second hand the management on some days is horrible. Mithe, I believe her name is, the short African American lady, she picks and chooses her employees. I thought this was supposed to be a safe environment, she treats young workers like they're beneath her. You're a manager, not a mother, do your job. Duchess was perfect with just only Sean and Tina(both of them) on the clock.

Used to come here and liked the food. Bought a few chicken noodle soups today for my family. The soup tasted like vinegar and I got sick right after eating some of it. Never has happened here before. The employee on the phone said they didn’t know what to tell us and the manager wouldn’t give a refund in-person, even with a receipt and all the soups in hand. Poor customer service.
