Tried Gaetano’s in Stratford for the first time- hands down the best authentic Italian deli in Connecticut. Everything was delicious, from grinders, cheeses, meatballs, chicken dishes… freshly made. Not to mention the free samples of anything you want to try while waiting. The staff is super friendly & makes you feel like family. Wish I lived closer- I’m hooked!!!

Terrible service. They let the line get long before realizing its busy. I place orders in advance and its not ready 30 minutes later. If you mess up I get it, but make it right.

Simply the best Italian deli in the state! Their bread, meats and cheese are fresh and authentic Italian at its best. The sandwiches are huge and their hot dishes are tremendous. Don't get put off if you see a big line ahead of you, they have plenty of sandwiches makers and the line moves fast. A real gem!
Went in today for a buffalo chicken sub and the gentleman that took care of my order couldn’t have been any nicer when taking my order. I also picked up a Pandoro to try and he threw in a personal classic pondoro for me to try. Love the group of people they have working there.

Being a vegetarian, I was not having much expectations While entering the Gaetano’s deli. On the contrary, they have way More options For vegetarians than any Restaurant. I tried the potato croquet and it tasted amazing. I will definitely go next time to taste their pasta and salad.

I bought the kovac special from this store and placed the order for delivery. I ordered a full sub and I received a 3 inch sub. Like wtf is a 3 inch sub? Even my coworkers at the fire department were confused. I don’t mind paying money for food but 23 dollars for a sub and it’s a 3 inch. Never going back! This place used to be great but then they expanded locations and quality and service down the drain!

Fantastic place! Felt like I was in a New York City deli with all the bantering going on between staff and regulars..... Definitely an experience you don't want to miss! I ordered the handmade lasagna and found out they'll heat it right there in their oven! also got their roast beef and spicy cheese with red peppers hero..... Took me 2 days to eat it... Both were exquisite!
