Very nice atmosphere, service was good. We had a couple apps and cocktails which were are very good octopus calamari and garlic bread with cheese. We felt the portion on the octopus was small. They offered some specials we ate from the regular menu. Gnocchi was very tasty lasagna very good veal saltimbocca was good. We had dessert tiramisu and cheesecake they were both good. Overall very nice but we all felt it was a bit overpriced.
Il Palio is definitely one of the best Italian restaurants in CT. With a well-thought out menu that caters to all tastes and dietary needs, this restaurant leaves nothing to be desired. Every dish is impeccably executed and the service is outstanding! Must try when in Fairfield County.
We went for a birthday luncheon and felt very welcomed. Our waiter, Kevin, was professional, knowledgeable and attentive. We travel to Italy every year so we know good Italian food. Il Palio meets the bar. The grilled octopus is tender and delicious. The cavatelli with sausage and charred tomatoes was flavorful and it was obvious the cavatelli were house made.
