I haven't had Chinese food in a long time, but was craving it. Went to Shanghai bc it was close to my house and wow. I ordered a wonton soup, chicken wings, crab rangoon and shrimp and broccoli combo with pork fried rice and spring roll. Every thing was so good. All of that food for just $35! The man who took care of me at the counter was extremely friendly. I'll definitely be back.

Easily the best egg rolls around. I mean come on, look at that fry. Love Shanghai it’s the only place my fiancé and I order this style of food from and the owner is a super friendly guy.

I’ve been ordering from here for almost 20 years. It’s the best. I haven’t been local for a while and ordering from them again was just what I was looking for. Always delicious. I’d post a picture, but I demolished

Got take out tonight…. That was NOT edible. The boneless spare ribs, were like shoe leather. The fried rice was hard. Obviously didn’t make it fresh. NEVER

I ordered the Chinatown vegetable noodle soup and the Shanghai noodles, and they were outstanding!

My family has been ordering here for years. My daughter said the Chicken & Broccoli and Wonton Soup is better here than NYC. They are always friendly and get my orders correct. I wouldn't order from any where else.

I had ordered from here, thinking it was the restaurant with a similar name in Orange, CT; but I was so woefully wrong. Initially, I was optimistic about this place, but in the end I became very frustrated at how much I paid for their abysmally low quality Chinese food staples. At first I was optimistic because the complimentary chow mein actually came in a prepackaged bag. However, upon eating the food I actually ordered, I can confidently say that my disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined. The food is very salty, almost to an inedible degree. I ordered the general tso's chicken, which is known for having some tangy sweetness to it; however, there was absolutely no sweetness to their general tso's chicken whatsoever. It felt like I was eating a stale nugget smothered with a greasy, salty sauce. It cost me $15. I had also gotten their beef lo mein, which was given in a generous portion, but was just as salty as the general tso's chicken. I understand that there's going to be salt in both of these dishes, but the lo.mein was so darkly covered that it was like they put extra soy sauce in my food. I would like to further add that the lo.mein was also $15. Save yourself from wasting your money here. I would recommend the Shanghai Gourmet restaurant in Orange a million times over this place.

I've been eating here since I moved to CT in 1990. Recently moved back to CT after 7 years in CO, and it hasn't changed a bit. Same gentleman is still running the shop and counter. Food is always fantastic!
