The arepas are amazing and I love the tequenos as well. It is also convenient to be able to order through the app and the order can be ready in 20 minutes. I think if you go directly to the store, it might be faster because it seems it may be like a Chipotle type set-up with picking toppings, etc. However, it is far superior to Chipotle and if you have never had arepas before, this is a good place to try them.

Definitely change the girl with glasses, terrible service, she doesn't know how to take care of the customer even a little bit, I didn't feel at all comfortable with her attention!!! 👎🏻

This was my 1st time, & I was surprised how good it was. I don't know why this place isn't busier. It's a build you own kind of place, via a team member. The food was very delicious. Price was cheap. I recommend if your in the area.

This was my first time at Somos Arepas (as well as my first time trying an arepa and cachapa) and I was pleased with my experience. I tried both the arepa and cachapa (corn pancake - which is a lot sweeter) and they were both good. The arepa is eaten as a sandwich and customized with whatever protein, veggies, cheese and sauce you want. The cachapa is eaten with a fork and knife, and same as the arepa, completely customizable. I tried both the chicken and pork which was delicious. Super flavorful. The service is really great and the workers took the time to explain the menu to me and make suggestions.

The service is very good, but they should not sell reheated arepas since the taste is sour and the flour of the arepa cracks, the arepa is a food that should be served fresh.

The cachapa (corn pancake) is our all-time favorite dish. Sometimes we will split an arpea and customize that to how we both like. We get the pulled chicken and the pork carnitas. All of the meats are tender and flavorful. All of the toppings are fresh like the black beans, avocado slices, pickled onions and corn. Great date spot in Shelton. Got to check them out and try one of everything on the menu! The ingredients are always fresh, and the flavor is always on-point. Xavier made our cachapas today, and they came out so delicious. Thank you for your fantastic service, as always!
