The arepas are amazing and I love the tequenos as well. It is also convenient to be able to order through the app and the order can be ready in 20 minutes. I think if you go directly to the store, it might be faster because it seems it may be like a Chipotle type set-up with picking toppings, etc. However, it is far superior to Chipotle and if you have never had arepas before, this is a good place to try them.
This was my 1st time, & I was surprised how good it was. I don't know why this place isn't busier. It's a build you own kind of place, via a team member. The food was very delicious. Price was cheap. I recommend if your in the area.
This was my first time at Somos Arepas (as well as my first time trying an arepa and cachapa) and I was pleased with my experience. I tried both the arepa and cachapa (corn pancake - which is a lot sweeter) and they were both good. The arepa is eaten as a sandwich and customized with whatever protein, veggies, cheese and sauce you want. The cachapa is eaten with a fork and knife, and same as the arepa, completely customizable. I tried both the chicken and pork which was delicious....
