I had so much fun at my dear friend’s baby shower!
Such a beautiful location, well maintained, and the brewery itself is immaculate and beautiful.
Do not hesitate to book your event here! Even kid friendly
We stopped at this place on our way home from a long vacation VT and we're pleasantly surprised. The grounds were very well manicured and taken care of. Absolutely great beer and the band added to the atmosphere. Loved the variety of craft beers. The food truck food was also very good. This place is also very family friendly and allows you to bring in your own snacks or food. Will definitely come back even though it's an hour away.
Cool spot with good beers and food truck...but...$10 for a pint is whack!!!
Please beware of having an event at this brewery.
Let me first start by saying the staff is great! And the grounds are beautiful.
Nancy the owner dropped the ball on the set up for my wedding reception. My family came and had to finish setting up tables (embarrassing). We paid Nancy for the set up (you can’t put tablecloths down?). Some of my guests allegedly heard Nancy say, “I don’t give a blank what the bride wants”. So, I the bride had to straighten things out. And to add to everything Nancy decided not to put out my cake topper and cake cutter. So one of my guests went to look for them. They found the cake topper broken in the box I brought for set up. Nancy said that I didn't bring a cake cutter and turns out it was in the box I brought as well. Nancy shouldn’t have offered to set up if it was going to be too overwhelming for her.
Everything was sent to the venue well before Saturday, besides the champagne glasses ( forgotten in the rush) which my bridesmaids knew they were going to setup. Also everything was gone over inperson and a seating chart was sent.
We had our wedding at Hops on the Hill in May and it could not have been a more perfect experience and location! Even as a venue not specifically for weddings, they accommodated our small party with a space outdoors for the ceremony and to gather with afterwards. Nancy was so easy to communicate with and left us stress-free leading up to our special day. We would recommend Hops to anyone looking for a beautiful place to hold your wedding and looking for a low-key environment. The beer is great, too!
I have been to this brewery on a few occasions. It has a nice location with some scenery. The beer is decent as well. The staff has also been nice each time that I have visited. The management however is unprofessional and unorganized. It is unfortunate since it certainly has the potential to be a top destination in the brewery scene for CT.
I had my graduation party here and it was wonderful! The staff is incredibly kind and able to accommodate many needs. We rented out the big tent which was clean, spacious, and within our budget. We were also able to get drink vouchers for our guests- I highly recommend the raspberry summer ale! Whether you are coming here for a relaxing afternoon or looking to plan an event, Hops on the Hill is a wonderful choice.
We love this place! The property is exquisite. The staff is so kind and welcoming. We have visited a lot of breweries and vineyards but this is are favorite hands down! Fun with all and our pup too.
Thank you for making this brewery such an inviting experience! We always have a wonderful time here. I want to commend your staff as they are always so pleasant and helpful. We have been to numerous vineyards and breweries and none of them make us feel as welcome as yours does. The property is exquisite and it draws such a nice group of people and their pups! Hops on the Hill is our absolute favorite! I tell everyone about it.
Worst beer in a long time. Beer is old and horrible. Customer service was rude and awful. Went up and told them it was old and skunked and they brushed me off and seem not to care. It was my first time there and it will certainly be the last. Just a horrible experience overall and never plan on returning to this joke of a brewery.

I was at the brewery for the first time this weekend for a wedding. We dropped everything else off the night before in boxes, and somewhere in the rush the champagne toast wasn’t delivered so we came early after the wedding to drop it off we apologized and the owner had given an attitude made a nasty remark against the bride and then went off to trash talk the bride. Also they claimed they never got the seating chart that was sent to them and they kept telling us that they didn’t have the cake cutter or the cake topper when they had everything. When I asked to go back and look in the boxes I wasn’t allowed too! One of the guests said she was yelled at for showing up early and the seating was not set up right! We had to set up everything because they said multiple times they didn’t care what the bride wanted. I don’t think that she is in the right line of work if she thinks acting this way is acceptable! I will not be back and I will not recommend!
Hops on the Hill is a scenic and relaxing farm brewery that's actually on a farm. Their beers are brewed with ingredients obtained from their own farm and surrounding farms. The brewery and its outdoor space is large enough to host several large groups, but you may want to BYOChair; we can imagine this place gets busy!We were fans of their Mel Mel stout. At 5.8% it might be a little dark and heavy for a super hot afternoon, but it makes a perfect sunset beer for last call on the farm.
All the beers were old. Just because you had kegs left doesn’t mean you put it on. Common. Do better. Try again.
I can't believe, as a Glastonbury native, it took me until late this summer to get here. Now it's on my "regular destination" list thanks to the beautiful setting, the atmosphere with live music and food trucks, and the excellent selection of quality beers. What a great "hang" place. And if you're a bicyclist like me, a perfect spot for ending your ride.
Great day celebrating Dad's 40th!
