“Highly recommend! My husband and I come here about every other week. Every time it taste wonderful! We always get the chili chicken (appetizer), paneer butter masala, naan, and samosas. They are always prompt on when the food will be ready as well which we appreciate. This has been the best Indian restaurant we have found in the area and all of the staff there is very nice and helpful.Dietary restrictions: Vegetarian friendly”

“My first visit to this restaurant was a delightful surprise orchestrated by my husband for my birthday. We were seated upstairs, but upon exploring downstairs to the tavern area, we immediately decided that our next visit would definitely be spent there. Recently, I organized a girls' night out and made a reservation for the tavern, and it exceeded all expectations.The evening kicked off with a perfectly crafted dirty martini that set the tone for what was to come. The wine selection by the glass offered an array of choices, which was greatly appreciated. Our meal selections were varied yet equally impressive: I opted for the salmon with risotto, Rachel savored their chicken dish, Danielle indulged in the burger, while Dev enjoyed the flatbread. Our appetizer of Brussels sprouts was nothing short of exquisite.Throughout the evening, our waiter provided impeccable service, always anticipating our needs before we even had to ask. I couldn't help but express to him that if the restaurant were closer than 25 minutes away, it would undoubtedly become our regular haunt. He was consistently attentive, ensuring our glasses were never empty and always being a few steps ahead of us.Overall, our experience at this restaurant, particularly in the tavern, was nothing short of spectacular. From the drinks to the cuisine to the exceptional service, it left a lasting impression, making it a place we'll eagerly return to whenever the opportunity arises.”

“Now THIS is how you go from 2 stars to a 5 star review!! I have not done this type of star jump in a very long time and to be honest, Flynn's Food and Staff deserve every single star. I was not surprised to see the spot fairly empty at 11:30 today for it was not packed when I first came here a few years ago to the disaster of the food and service that I had received. I noticed there was a different waitress today and she was spot on! From the greeting we received once we walked in, to how attentive she was once we sat down and her service with the other two tables....simply outstanding. This time around the mozzarella sticks came out hot and extra cheesy. So cheesy, the pull may have actually gone from the ceiling to the floor but what really took the flavor home, was the sauce my sticks came with. That level of home whipped up marinara sauce was insane baby!! So much flavor and you could taste the tomato broken down and diced up. Seasoned with love and only making my mozzarella stick, that much more enjoyable! Going with their New England Clam Chowder was also a decent experience. Chunks of potatoes and a nice array of clams that provided quite the luxurious bite, all I needed was the salt and pepper that I added upfront and this NE Clam Chowder had some "Slap Yo Mama" flavors going on. Their French fries were not greasy nor did they taste cold and forgotten but they had the mean double crispiness and already salted, which drove their bite into a very happy place with me. Now I am back on the Cajun Blue Cheese Burger and they got it right!!! The beef was real beef this time around. Seared up and juicy!! I had PLENTY of blue cheese crumbles all over my beef (unlike the single crumble from last time) and each chew was a pleasure to behold. Now this is a REAL BURGER that bites back with strength and I am here for it!!! I pitched everything at Flynn's today and they did not strike out! Each items was a HOMERUN and their service ran all of the bases!! I can't wait to come back and again, excellent job to the new Chef and the Staff here!!! This was a Revisit to be excited about!”

“We had a party of 3 so tried everything on the menu and we loved it. The roasted squash was probably the star of the show. All of the entrees were nicely sized portions and well executed. The butterscotch pudding was great. Service was also top notch. Angie took great care of us and I would request her great service next time we come in. This concept is truly special and I hope it flourishes.”

“I highly recommend Salute. We ended up at Salute after asking for a recommendation from a coworker for a family dinner. As soon as we walked in, they embraced us as family. All the wait staff was pleasant, knowledgeable and the service was quick, but not at all rushed. When the owner, Jimmy, learned we were there celebrating some big things, he truly went out of his way to make us feel special. I can’t thank him enough for all he did for us. It was our first time there, yet he took the time (on a busy night!) to learn our names, ask questions and congratulate us. The evening was complete with incredible food, gotta get yourself the cheesy garlic bread (YUM!!) and all our meals were generous portions and delicious. We all loved our drinks, too! After mentioning our experience to my brother, we learned him, his girlfriend, and her family had a similar experience. This is how they treat everyone.”

“Solid food and great atmosphere. The fish really was cooked beautifully and the staff was top notch. Yummy fish and chips.Today we had a couple of apps and they were quite tasty. Calamari was really solid and my buddy got the Buffalo shrimp. They had a special swordfish entree with Lobster risotto and it was really quite tasty. Solid work per usual.Delicious clam soup and salmon dish. The spetzel (sp) was fun and unexpected. Also decent pours for your gin on the rocks. Bombay would be proud. A little heavier handed would be appreciated but better than many places. The burger looked great and the chicken parm was large and tasty. Some of my buddies shared some bites at today's group lunch”

“I have dined here multiple times. It is always an elevated experience. Cora Cora is a good introduction to Peruvian food. Some of the dishes have adjusted flavor profiles and others are firmly rooted in their origin. A good place for newcomers to enjoy their first dive into Peruvian cooking.”

“The food is insanely good. My friend and I dine at Trumbull Kitchen before we attend Hartford Stage, and she was still extolling her dinner on the drive home after the show. She had the marinaded steak. The best thing was the response to her request to replace the fries with veggies. The choices were plentiful, and the side salad that arrived was gorgeous.My dinner was equally delicious, seared tuna with salad. Yummy and beautifully plated. The salad dressing (served on-the-side) was exquisite. We each had reasonably priced glasses of wine.Julian, our waiter was running, as was everyone on staff when it became crazy busy at around six o'clock. The bar was hopping and there was a line waiting to be seated. Yet, he checked on us every 5 to 10 minutes and made sure we were well supplied with the spicy, chip-like crackers that come in the bread basket and are irresistible.If there is one negative, it is the very loud sound system which pumps in thumping music that you might want as background for a weight-lifting class at the gym, rather than for dining. I am sure there is a metric that tells restaurants and bars that people drink more if they can't hear themselves think. Personally, I find it offensive. If I could have done, I'd have changed the selection and turned down the volume.”

“Sal worked with us for my grandsons baptism party. The roast beef was tender and flavorful. Lemon chicken was amazing. Roasted vegetables with hot peppers, WOW! Roasted potatoes, fantastic! “I wanted to visit my ex coworker Zach @ J Gilberts and maybe get a Burger cuz that's what I had my only time there and its one of the best burgers I've ever had. Plus I didnt want to go too crazy. But when I got there Zach told me about the 16Oz Dry Aged Kansas City Strip Steak Special that they had. I decided to go all out cuz I wantedto see if their steaks measured up to their reputation. Zach recommended a Pinot Noir from Washington that was a perfect pairing for the steak. I gotta say the green beans that I had with a jam and crumbled pecans were insanely good with the garlic mashed potatoes. AND the steak had a nice charred exterior with a perfect juicy medium rare interior. I decided to treat myself and if you are ever thinking of doing the same go to J Gilberts and ask for Zach....you won't be disappointed....you will have one of your best restaurant experiences of your life!”

“My wife and I had our first dinner at Vinted Wine Bar tonight. My wife has had a good amount of experience at Vinted, but it was my first time there. Top to bottom... TRULY EXCELLENT!! We shared a nice bottle of Daou Cab while sitting at the bar, and started with the Whipped Hummus, with Crispy Scallion Cake. Best Hummus you'll ever eat, and the warm crispy thin cake slices are very delicious with the Hummus. Terrific! Then we split and shared 2 entrees: The Chicken Milanese, and the Vinted Prime Burger. Both, also super delicious. Rich, flavorful, perfectly prepared by the talented crew in the kitchen lead by the executive chef, and partner, Mike Voight. Ate every bite of everything. Lastly, for desert we shared the Sticky Toffee Pudding Cake. Holy cow, that is one incredible desert. Our bartender Chris was very helpful, friendly, and although busy had time to talk with us. And we found all the staff, extremely personable. Mike has a finely tuned ship in Vinted. We'll be back. #impressed”

“A great dining experience, as always! We've eaten at J a half dozen or so times over the years. J is consistently excellent. Whether you're going “classic” with Filet Mignon or being more adventurous with Veal Milanese, you won't be disappointed! My veal was perfectly done, tender, hot, yet crunchy with a wonderfully light arugula side. My partner's Haddock was excellent with perfectly roasted potato wedges. The ambience was lively, busy and a little noisy on this particular evening, Service was efficient and professional. A very nice way to start our evening!”
