2024 update, prices high, food quality going way down. My husband had an egg salad sandwich that was awful. Chopped up egg with shredded lettuce and tomato. He asked for extra mayo and didn’t get it and the girl asked if he wanted blue cheese on it which is weird! He ordered clam chowder and when he opened it, it was chili and the cup wasn’t even full. He went back to the window and got his clam chowder and it was not hot. Also fortunately he asked for a spoon, the kid said ok I can give you extra implying there was a spoon in the bag, well good thing he asked for “extra” because there wasn’t a spoon in the bag. I had a crab cake sandwich which was ok and something I’ve always enjoyed there in the past but had too much horseradish in whatever sauce they used on it which it never had before. The kids working there were pleasant and polite enough but it was 7:30 so it was close to closing time and maybe they just couldn’t wait to close up but that doesn’t excuse the poor quality and mistakes. We used to love Denmo’s when the food was great and prices were reasonable but I don’t think we will be going back again any time soon!Original review: Food is ok, nothing special, very overpriced the last 2 years. Market Price for all seafood items at a fast food place seems ridiculous! Absolutely no healthier menu options.

Never again.....I've been coming to Denmo's since I was a child and I honestly think that in the last few years it has gone down hill.I remember when a Denmo's burger patty was made fresh by hand and they were THICKFor people who think I don't know what I'm talking about, I've been in this business for about 15 years, I know my way around a burger patty (seasoned, unseasoned, by weights and fresh vs frozenYou can blame that problem on the pandemic/inflation all you want...the value isn't there in the leastSecond issue is the attention span of the staffI came by at around 1:00pm and ordered a ½lb cheeseburger with the works, a ¼lb cheeseburger with the works, a chili cheese fries with extra cheese and a large cookie monster in a cupAlthough they person taking my order was friendly, they didn't pay attention while punching it in. I received nothing of which I ordered and when I went back up to ask for the correct order that is when I was met with attitude.My response to that impolite staff member....be kind towards your customers, your boss is not who gives you your paycheck, the customer does. When your customers stop coming because of issues such as this, it hurts everyone...from the simple grill person to the people in charge because at the end of the day it's a bottom line businessEnough with the pep talk, Denmo's....I want to see you do better

they serve flies in thier food, i got a cheeseburger with a huge horsefly on it snd was denied a refund, they offered me another burger, why would i want another fly ridden burger, the place is a shit hole only go there if you want listeria. if it were an option i would give zero stars

this place is trash, i had a horsefly on my burger and was refused a refund, they wanyed to replace my burger, why the hell would i give them bach the burger so they can just pull the fly off and give it back, If flies are Your thing then go for it

My visit here it was beyond perfection. Grateful roadside spot and pull in and grab food without wasting time. Everything was extremely clean and had such a nostalgic vibe. I was quick to be greeted at the front window with a very nice woman. Come to find out after she was the owner which is always great to see the owner in the business working. I got onion rings, small side shrimp and courageous Chloe. I don’t think I’ve had better anything like that so freshly battered and homemade. I will definitely go back before they close for the season!!
Very good dog. good bun split top bun toasted chili was very good but it had the no no of hotdog law ...BEANS in the chili ....shur if it was in a bowl I would like it much better all in all solid dog ..was there on FRANKSGIVIN

Everything has been great, been going here for years, I’m a local resident of southbury, but when I came here the other night this girl with face tattoos waited on me and after letting me wait in line behind four people, she told me they were closing (in12minutes according to Google) and wouldn’t serve us. Yet she served the employees before other customers in line, even before notifying me that they were closed. Thank goodness winter is coming so I can have some time to rethink how much money I’ve spent supporting this local business, I hope I return in the summer to a different atmosphere

This place is worth way more than a 3.5! It almost deterred us but so happy we stopped. Food service was quick, and the food was great! highly recommended.
