“We were passing through and are so happy we stopped in! Absolutely lovely independently owed Mexican Restaurant that’s been open for 35 years. The staff were wonderful, attentive and warm- we felt so welcome and were treated like locals. The food was flavorful (the habanero salsa was fantastic), fresh and absolutely delicious. The portions are quite generous and we will most definitely be back next time we are up this way! A treasure!

“Me and my individual went there last night. We each got our own pizza. Broccoli & chicken pizza, pepperoni pizza. Both were very delicious especially with that crunchy crust not too crunchy but just perfect. The family there was very nice, helpful and funny. All and All definitely will be returning for more pizza.”

“I visited the establishment today to have a meal. I ordered their wings and a grilled buffalo chicken wrap. The food was delicious. We chose to sit outside due to the pleasant weather. Unfortunately, we were seated next to an individual who was having a loud phone conversation. It would have been preferable if he had taken the call elsewhere. Despite this inconvenience, the restaurant was quite busy and the food was served hot and fresh.”

“To reviewer tmG9470YS - I think you have reviewed the wrong bakery. Our bakery is spotless, all our baked goods are baked fresh and we don't even use the dumpsters (we dont want to attract bears). So I don't know where you went and a found a dirty bakery and found box mixes in the dumpsters it was not Southbury Baking Company. It must have been another local bakery. “I’ve been a fan and customer of Villarina’s Southbury for many years for far too many reasons to list ... but the most important one is the owners who are family and treat everyone like family!❤️ This is a quick review to say YUMMMM!!! Before the “stay at home” order went into effect, I stocked up on their frozen dinners and lots of pasta sauce. Always love having these in our house and especially so now. We recently tried the frozen linguine w/white clam sauce I had picked up. It was our first time for this dinner and WOW! It was fabulous. My husband says it’s the best he’s ever had. It’s not something I typically eat but loved it. We’ll add it to our list of things to pick-up. Thanks as always!!!”

“The is a wonderful little bakery. Not only is everything delicious and impeccably made, but the staff are wonderful. They are all knowledgeable and very kind.

Vegetarian options: The Bakery is entirely vegetarian from what I could see. Vegan might be tougher, but vegetarian options are plentiful.

Parking: There is plenty of parking. It is a small shopping plaza with a lot for a few stores, but I’ve been there a few times and never had any difficultly finding a spot.

Kid-friendliness: The Bakery is very kid friendly with a blend of fun, brightly colored items as well as more naturally decorated or undecorated items that may be more visually appealing to adults but will taste just as yummy as the colorful ones.

Wheelchair accessibility: The Bakery is wheelchair accessible. There is a fairly long ramp from the parking area, but a chair user can get there on their own.”

We have been coming here for over 8 years now and it is the best Chinese in the area by far!The original owner was a very nice man, always remembered his customers by name and was a staple of the restaurant. When he unfortunately passed, his family took over and they are just as wonderful. I come here from New York (I travel between the tri-state for work frequently), and he always makes me feel welcome when I return. It can be a few months before he sees me again, but he remembers not only me, but my go-to order as well.The food is just as great as the people!
