“This deli is a HUGE asset to Southbury and neighboring towns. While food costs are rising and portions and quality is dropping, somehow some way Heritage Deli has kept their prices low and the quality is unmatched in the area. My favorite is the chicken, quinoa and sweet potato bowl - it is incredible - and I always have enough for two meals - at $8.50!!!
My husband gets the Tuscan Chicken sandwich also delicious and incredibly reasonable

“My wife and I have lived in many places and we've never had a sandwich that was so delicious, even on the next day. We've eaten our way from coast to coast and this is my far the greatest hero, grinder, sandwich whatever you want to call it. We will never be getting a grinder anywhere else. “The place is sort of a cross between a deli, a restaurant, and a market. They serve breakfast and lots of prepared foods are available for lunch. They also sell specialty items like maple syrup and chocolate. A nice place to stay for a meal. My breakfast sandwich was perfect. Surprisingly decent prices too.“

“When I discovered Roxbury Market in the eighties, it soon became one of my favorite destinations. I lived in Bethel, but I’d drive up to Roxbury several times a week for sandwiches. It was remodeled sometime in the nineties, and the small back room had tables to enjoy meals with friends. We’d meet there by Jeep, motorcycle, or whatever and sit for an hour sharing a great sandwich, coffee and soft drinks. I moved to Florida in 2004 and miss the Marketplace. But we manage to visit at least once a year when we come back to Roxbury in autumn.“
