“Hands-down the best Italian food I have ever had—and I do not say that lightly. I would absolutely drive 8 hours just to eat here again. That’s how good it was. I started with the burrata appetizer, served with baby arugula, fire-roasted red peppers, and prosciutto. Fresh, creamy, perfectly balanced. For entrées, I had the linguini with veal meatballs and I also tried the pan-seared scallops over cheese ravioli, with baby spinach, sun-dried tomatoes and wild mushrooms. This dish alone deserves its own standing ovation. This is the kind of place that reminds you what really good Italian food is supposed to taste like. So if you’re anywhere near Southbury or honestly anywhere in Connecticut, go. And if you’re 8 hours away like me? Still go. It’s worth it“

“I’ve been a fan and customer of Villarina’s Southbury for many years for far too many reasons to list ... but the most important one is the owners who are family and treat everyone like family!❤️ This is a quick review to say YUMMMM!!! Before the “stay at home” order went into effect, I stocked up on their frozen dinners and lots of pasta sauce. Always love having these in our house and especially so now. We recently tried the frozen linguine w/white clam sauce I had picked up. It was our first time for this dinner and WOW! It was fabulous. My husband says it’s the best he’s ever had. It’s not something I typically eat but loved it. We’ll add it to our list of things to pick-up. Thanks as always!!!“

“Oh my goodness.... I haven't been here in many years. It's was exactly as I remembered it. Sorry no pictures. The Greek salad with feta cheese is amazing. Calamari was perfect..... Then the Chicken marsala and Chicken Cacciatore

We've eaten our way from coast to coast and this is my far the greatest hero, grinder, sandwich whatever you want to call it. We will never be getting a grinder anywhere else. I ordered the Zuppa di pesce ( one of my favorite hard to find meals ) absolutely everything I was hoping it would be and more . Very extensive menu if you can't find something here to tickle your taste buds maybe your not human . The service was awesome. The restaurant itself ain't very fancy but a steady flow of traffic of people picking up and calling in for orders . They are definitely doing something right . Me and the wife was in from out of town for a funeral. And we was very satisfied with our meals and service . So if your in the area this place is definitely worth the stop .“

The sauces were so tasty and the entertainment on Thursday is excellent for a relaxing night. The complete experience scored a ten and I plan to recommend this gem to many friends to enjoy as well.“

“Tried Pizzaro’s Pizzeria for the first time. My wife and I shared a large antipasta salad and a large cheese pizza with garlic, half pepperoni and half broccoli. Everything was great. While this is more a takeout place they have large booths and the service was excellent. The salad was awesome and so large we took 1/4 of it home. The pizza was excellent. Thin crust with a delicious sauce. I’m not a fan of the outer crust but this was so good I ate everything. I highly recommend their pizza. We have to go back and try their subs and meals as I witnessed many people getting these and pizza for takeout. I give it five stars. We will be back.“

“We live in Oakville and we have been getting our take out from Paradise for over 15 years. We just love everything there. We are never disappointed. They have saved us on many occasions with their party pizza, which is so reasonably priced. My kids would always have a lot of friends over, we can feed everyone and not break the bank. Dave and his staff are so friendly. We are actually on a first name basis because I am in there so often. The delivery drivers are awesome. If you haven't tried their food, please do.“

“Mangia Mi is amazing through and through! I’ll be honest, we were a little skeptical at first after reading some of the past reviews, but my experience was 11 out of 10. Everything was incredible from start to finish.

For an appetizer, we got the deviled eggs, and they were amazing. I had the butternut squash ravioli, and WOW 🤤 — soooo good! You could really taste how fresh and homemade everything was. My girlfriend got the carbonara, and she absolutely loved it as well.

Of course, we couldn’t leave without trying dessert, so we went with the cannoli, carrot cake, and key lime pie. Every single one was delicious. Honestly, there wasn’t a bad bite anywhere.

I also have to give major respect to the owner for having the kitchen completely open for everyone to see. That takes some serious confidence, and I respect it. You can literally see what’s happening, and everything looked incredibly clean and organized. Knowing that everything is freshly made daily makes the experience even better.

We had an amazing experience, and I’ll 100% be a repeat customer. Don’t let a few past reviews scare you away — go experience it for yourself!

“Went with my mother to get us a nice treat. The ribeye steak is something you cannot pass on from the perfect medium cook to the grill sear on it! I had a side of Alfredo pasta to go with it and it was so pleasant. My mother had the Eggplant over Penne Ala Vodka sauce, she loved it. The bread + salad & the customer service made it all better. “I been trying to find a good grinder/deli place where I live and I went to the other one on town that everyone says was good and it wasn't but then I seen this nice place and their meats are so good they got all the good stuff my grandfather would have at his house when I was kid. I definitely recommend it I'm going to try a new one a week lol“
