“Wasn't sure about this place when we pulled in to the parking lot but so glad we gave it a try . I ordered the Zuppa di pesce ( one of my favorite hard to find meals ) absolutely everything I was hoping it would be and more . Very extensive menu if you can't find something here to tickle your taste buds maybe your not human . The service was awesome. The restaurant itself ain't very fancy but a steady flow of traffic of people picking up and calling in for orders . They are definitely doing something right . Me and the wife was in from out of town for a funeral. And we was very satisfied with our meals and service . So if your in the area this place is definitely worth the stop .“

“I don’t think I’ve ever had a buffalo chicken salad as good as this one. Everything tasted fresh, all the products in the salad. They also served it with bread and butter which came out steaming hot and also tasted like homemade bread. Really was spectacular food.“

“Hands-down the best Italian food I have ever had—and I do not say that lightly. I would absolutely drive 8 hours just to eat here again. That’s how good it was. I started with the burrata appetizer, served with baby arugula, fire-roasted red peppers, and prosciutto. Fresh, creamy, perfectly balanced. For entrées, I had the linguini with veal meatballs and I also tried the pan-seared scallops over cheese ravioli, with baby spinach, sun-dried tomatoes and wild mushrooms. This dish alone deserves its own standing ovation. This is the kind of place that reminds you what really good Italian food is supposed to taste like. So if you’re anywhere near Southbury or honestly anywhere in Connecticut, go. And if you’re 8 hours away like me? Still go. It’s worth it“

“Thoroughly enjoyed the stuffed shells and meatballs, spinach ravioli and creamy pesto, cheese ravioli in marinara and linguini with clam sauce. The calamari starter was fresh and crispy, the bread was soft and plentiful, and the service was outstanding. A bit of a hidden jewel and well worth a visit.“

“I’ve been a fan and customer of Villarina’s Southbury for many years for far too many reasons to list ... but the most important one is the owners who are family and treat everyone like family!❤️ This is a quick review to say YUMMMM!!! Before the “stay at home” order went into effect, I stocked up on their frozen dinners and lots of pasta sauce. Always love having these in our house and especially so now. We recently tried the frozen linguine w/white clam sauce I had picked up. It was our first time for this dinner and WOW! It was fabulous. My husband says it’s the best he’s ever had. “I don’t know what they changed, but suddenly their pizza is out of this world! I have been eating at Miranda’s for 25 years. It has always been good food quality, But I don’t know if they got a new chef or changed the recipe, but the pizza is Travel worthy, meaning is worth driving an hour. The staff is wonderful. The building is old, but they have remodeled it and it kind of adds to the atmosphere.“

“my partner and i had our first experience at Italian Al’s today now that they’re in New Milford again and were extremely impressed! they were so kind and generous in every way, including their portions. as soon as we walked up they offered samples that immediately drew us in.everything tasted very authentic and fresh! the fried ravioli was the best we’ve ever had - so crispy, cheesy, and the sauce was delicious. the meatball sub has 3 big meatballs with their sauce, stretchy mozzarella, and fresh shaved cheeses on top. the fried dough was hot, so chewy, and perfectly sweet. last but definitely not least, the freshly filled cannolis were crunchy and just as good or better than any you’d find in the nyc area.“

“Mangia Mi is amazing through and through! I’ll be honest, we were a little skeptical at first after reading some of the past reviews, but my experience was 11 out of 10. Everything was incredible from start to finish.

For an appetizer, we got the deviled eggs, and they were amazing. I had the butternut squash ravioli, and WOW 🤤 — soooo good! You could really taste how fresh and homemade everything was. My girlfriend got the carbonara, and she absolutely loved it as well.

Of course, we couldn’t leave without trying dessert, so we went with the cannoli, carrot cake, and key lime pie. Every single one was delicious. Honestly, there wasn’t a bad bite anywhere.

I also have to give major respect to the owner for having the kitchen completely open for everyone to see. That takes some serious confidence, and I respect it. You can literally see what’s happening, and everything looked incredibly clean and organized. Knowing that everything is freshly made daily makes the experience even better.

We had an amazing experience, and I’ll 100% be a repeat customer. Don’t let a few past reviews scare you away — go experience it for yourself!

“We live in Oakville and we have been getting our take out from Paradise for over 15 years. We just love everything there. We are never disappointed. They have saved us on many occasions with their party pizza, which is so reasonably priced. My kids would always have a lot of friends over, we can feed everyone and not break the bank. Dave and his staff are so friendly. We are actually on a first name basis because I am in there so often. The delivery drivers are awesome. If you haven't tried their food, please do.“

“Went with my mother to get us a nice treat. The ribeye steak is something you cannot pass on from the perfect medium cook to the grill sear on it! I had a side of Alfredo pasta to go with it and it was so pleasant. My mother had the Eggplant over Penne Ala Vodka sauce, she loved it. The bread + salad & the customer service made it all better.
