Mangia Mi is amazing through and through! I’ll be honest, we were a little skeptical at first after reading some of the past reviews, but my experience was 11 out of 10. Everything was incredible from start to finish.

What a wonderful gem in Newtown! serves some of the best Italian food I’ve had in Connecticut. every dish was delicious and beautifully prepared. But what truly makes the experience special is Chef Rebecca White, whose warmth, talent, and passion shine through in everything she creates. She is an incredibly gifted and gracious chef who makes you feel right at home. We absolutely loved our experience and will definitely be back! ❤️

We had been avoiding this restaurant because of some of the reviews, but last night around 8pm we finally decided to try it for ourselves and we were absolutely blown away.
We sat at the bar where you can see directly into the kitchen, and coming from the industry, seeing how incredibly clean and organized everything was really stood out. It’s a small staff, but they work together so fluidly. Our bartender Nicole was awesome and made us some amazing cocktails.

Mangia Mi East | Italian is a wonderful gem in Newtown that serves some of the best Italian food in Connecticut. The restaurant offers a charming and fun ambiance with a big open dining room, an open kitchen where everything is made, and family pictures all over the walls. Guests can watch the kitchen at work, which is incredibly clean and organized. The food is fresh and quality ingredients are made in house, including pasta. The menu features deviled eggs, calamari, fried provolone, sausage pizza, tomato pie, cheese pizza, Donnie’s Hot Pepper & Mushroom, butternut squash ravioli, carbonara, fettuccine Alfredo topped with a crispy chicken cutlet, and shrimp scampi. The pizza is New Haven-style apizza, and the San Marzano tomatoes really stand out. For dessert, the cannoli, carrot cake, and key lime pie are delicious. Everything is made in house and prepared with care. The service is excellent, and the small staff works together so fluidly. The owner is welcoming, and the experience feels like being welcomed into her home and cooked for in her kitchen. The restaurant is a new favorite, and guests fully intend on becoming regulars.
