so glad we found this place. it is absolutely amazing! my new favorite Italian restaurant. It is the definition of authentic!
absolutely delicious! every dish we've tried so far has been 5 star quality. quite possibly my favorite restaurant in Oxford!

Basilico | Restaurant & Bar is a hidden gem in Oxford. This Italian/Mediterranean influenced restaurant offers freshly prepared food that is amazingly good and exceptionally fresh. Guests have called it a true gem, with a classy and elegant ambiance that is relaxing yet upbeat. The service is top-tier and attentive, and the owner makes a point to come by tables to chat with guests. The fried mozz and chicken cutlet (dry chicken parm) were called the best ever had, and the seafood fra diavlo special came with a lobster tail, muscles, clams and calamari. The chicken parm and a tortellini special with shrimp and cherry tomatoes were also delicious. The food is tasty and comforting, and some say it tastes like a homecooked sunday meal. Cinnamon toast crunch shots were even given on the house. Whether for an anniversary or a Monday night, Basilico is a pleasant surprise that will not disappoint.
