I’ve eaten there before and was generally pleased with the food. But on March 13th I excitedly ordered the special corned beef dinner. It was terrible. The corn beef fat had not been trimmed at all. It was not cut in slices across the grain so it was stringy and tough. The cabbage was not fully cooked. The other members of my party were pleased with the meals they ordered but don’t go to Maggie’s if you want real corned beef.

We had a large party of around 8 people and it was my birthday. There was only 4 people at the table and the waiter asked what I wanted to drink and then he walked away. This happened twice, and then the bartender also did the same, walked away! Waiter was new with no experience.

This is our go-to restaurant in town. A broad menu with locally sourced ingredients. Several years ago, I would have said otherwise but over the past few years, I've had many good meals with decent service.

Terrible! I do not recommend! Try Mercatos or Julio’s pizza, Hometown Pizza! I lived in Southbury for half a decade and have bought food there plenty of times even posting pictures of the food and the treatment was terrible! Never again!

I can’t comment on the food or the atmosphere because I couldn’t stay in there for more than I had already been there waiting for Service. I was informed by the hostess that happy hour was at the bar. My party entered what was clearly labeled the bar area and we waited approximately 5 to 10 minutes for a menu while seated in the clearly subdivided bar area. I proceeded to go to the bar to ask the bartender for a menu, to which he responded “they’re on your table.” Clearly, there were no menus on our table. Otherwise, why would I waste my energy getting up to ask for one? The hostess returned to our table and haphazardly threw three menus down, while I was mid-sentence asking a question about the happy hour menu. She then returned and stated, you can’t get happy hour at the table you’re seated at, you have to be at the bar. Suffice it to say I will never return to an establishment with such poorly trained staff with nasty attitudes. Hell, I’m an ER physician and I have a high tolerance for nasty people, but this place takes the cake. It’s a shame, because the scenery sure was pretty walking into the place.

So we went tonight to Maggie's tonight after not having gone in a little while. It was very disappointing. French onion silos was like sludge and tasteless. The kitchen made boneless chicken Buffalo instead of Buffalo cauliflower. Wr started to eat it. The manager came over and said they would take it off the bill. Which was good. But then she took it away. Like, we aren't allowed to eat their mistake. They were going to throw ot away anyway so why not leave it??? The drinks were good and potato skins were good. Service was fair. Our server hardly checked on us. We won't drive 25 minutes to come here again

been to this restaurant a dozen times, been served by a dozen different bartenders, and every time they give me a terrible old-fashioned. Every other Maggies I go to knows how to make an old-fashioned, but they can never make a good drink at this location in Southbury.

This restaurant location was the best dining experience I’ve had in years. Our server, Brandon, was exceptional at his job. He made sure that my water was always refilled, the table was kept clean, he consistently checked up on my friend and I to make sure everything was going well, and he was quick to fulfill any request I made. The atmosphere? It was great. The restaurant has a really pleasant looking high-end interior. Seating is impressive, made of a comfortably soft padded leather material. I felt like a king sitting down. The lighting was on the dimmer side, which is perfect for my liking. Everywhere I looked it seemed the place was well taken care of.The food? It blew me away. My friend and I ordered the Eggroll Sampler for an appetizer and it was so good I was in disbelief. I never had food taste that delicious before. For a main course I ordered the chicken teriyaki bowl, which had plenty of flavor and filled me up with some more left over. My friend ordered the ‘Garbage Burger’ which according to him was excellent. We finished off our night with a dessert menu item called ‘The Titanic’. It includes chocolate lava cake, vanilla ice cream, chocolate ice cream, whipped cream, and a few different flavored syrups. I was surprised we were able to finish it, since the size of the dessert is enormous.Overall just a great time at this restaurant. I’ll be sure to visit this place again at some point.

The food is good, just like all Maggie McFly's locations. The Southbury location has the least impressive service and atmosphere of any of the ones in Connecticut.
