Trivia Night is always super fun! Monty's was super accommodating and kind to our large group when we chose Trivia Night for our coworker outing. Food and drinks = yum and staff are always the best

We waited over 30 minutes for our reserved table. Hostess was completely overwhelmed. We waited a while for our drinks (just soda and seltzer). Waitress was pleasant and food was fine.

This was our first visit to Monty's and likely our last. We heard mixed reviews from friends and other reviews we had read. The food is subpar for the price. The menu sounds better than it is in our opinion. My son ordered wings off the kids menu and asked for BBQ since he noticed they were listed on the "Mild" section of flavor options. They were not mild at all and quite spicy. The kitchen was generous and remade him wings free of charge, but they weren't great. My other kids ordered burgers off the kids menu and they were thin and dry. Everything was overly salted too. I hate to give places bad reviews, but sadly this is not a local place we will be visiting again. We also noticed that on a Friday night at 6/6:30 they were not busy at all...thats pretty telling of an establishment.

The food was delicious and so were the drinks! The table setup is well spaced and comfortable. There are so many tv screens that every seat had a great view of the game. The staff was very friendly and attentive.

Big thing is to double check your drink bill...my friend ordered a tall glass for his vodka drink and each one had a $5 add on fee on the bill! There was no mention of that by the bartender and no mention of more alcohol in the drink? Also the 2nd drinks were a different price than the first ones like maybe if you reuse the glass it's cheaper? Again an odd nickel dime type practice that is unexplained and you just scratch your head..

The bartender there was really nice she actually made a point of coming to talk to us just thought that was great. The burgers we had were delicious. The drinks were also very good. Prices were about normal to a bit high but all in all my wife and I had a very nice meal and a couple of drinks. I would highly recommend you check the place out I'll for sure will be going back.

Monty's has a fun atmosphere with lots of TVs and the NFL package. Love all that. The food is good enough, but the bar stools don't have backs. No backs on the bar stools is a deal breaker for me when I want to drink, watch a game, and relax. Bartenders and wait staff are great
First time at this restaurant, and I will definitely go back. Great apps and food! The service was very good and the restaurant was very clean. My only suggestion would be to have a larger dessert selection.
I just left this amazing establishment with my best friend. we had an awesome experience and had the best server ever. this is the second time we have had kim, and i have to specifically say i would come here to just have her as my server alone. she is so attentive, quick and kind. she gets everything done super fast with a smile ALWAYS on her face. I recommend coming here not only for kim but for the awesome food. great experience!
Found this place just to grab a bite in the middle of a road trip from Boston to NYC, had the best time great food! Had Apple Pay for the arcade games! Wish there was one in Manhattan with the same great service!

As a sports fan and mom of 3, my fave dining spots have always been places where the kids feel stimulated so I can relax and enjoy a good meal. Monty's hits both those sweet spots with 5 stars. New, spacious, clean, and big fun with a bright-lights arcade, sports decor, wall-to-wall TV's with live sports, and upbeat music audio. Then they bring out the meal. I'd call it elevated pub food and quality I did not expect. Goodbye Five Guys, Shake Shack, Plan B, and Wooden Tap. Monty's half-pound Tailgate Smash Burger is all we need from here on: two tender patties on fresh buns you want to eat instead of setting them aside, and yes a sauce that did make it "special." I'm fussy about fries and rarely order them because few restaurants serve any worth eating. Monty's Old Bay-seasoned Fries are potato perfect, the right size and cut and portion and crispiness. On another occasion, I wanted to eat light and a very attentive server suggested their fresh-made soup. The surprise was a covered bowl arrived! It contained the most satisfying broccoli cheddar soup, with complex flavor, light but creamy texture, and chunks of broccoli, served with a slice of perfectly toasted and buttered sourdough bread. I've also tried the Stadium Steak, served on that same sourdough, but grilled. Not the typical shaved steak, it had chunks of the most tender sirloin with caramelized onions and sautéed mushrooms and a divine horseradish aioli. I was full after eating half, but the ingredients were so fresh that when I re-heated the other half for lunch the next day, it was just as yummy. All that said, for those looking for a spot without the kids in tow, the giant industrial-mod cement bar at Monty's makes the most chill hang-out for a game or drinks with friends.Parking: It's at the west end of Southbury Green plaza so there are ample parking spaces in that area.Kid-friendliness: Monty's is a home run for kids. Lots to look at. Games to play while waiting for dinner. Popcorn on the table, cotton candy and cracker jacks for treats, and reasonable kids meal pricing.

Food was very good. Service was excellent. Third time I've been here. Nice to have a relaxing American sports bar locally. I'd suggest a few more lower style tables due to the demographics of the area. Each time I have been to Monty's the high tops are often empty and the normal seating is busier.
