My partner and I got the KBBQ steak and cheese grinder and the habachi shrimp grinder - both were really good! Glad we got a side of avocado sauce cuz I think it complimented the KBBQ well.
The staff was friendly, the place was empty besides us (on a Tuesday afternoon), and the food was perfect. Would definitely come back and recommend to others! 10/10

A very quiet and relaxing spot with very nice and awesome workers. I got the chicken ramen and it was delicious and the chef shared with us that it is a family recipe. Amazing food, all came out at the same time, amazing worker: 5/5 :)

I got lunch here with my two siblings on a random afternoon. We walked in, there was only one other person sitting in the restaurant. I ordered the shrimp grinder, my sister got the chicken Ramen, and my brother got the tuna poke bowl, and we also got the Vietnamese spring rolls. All the food tasted fresh and delicious and refreshing. The atmosphere was nice and chill and calming. I highly recommend for a nice lunch or dinner.

We've been going to Sonny's regularly for years. The menu is creative and the food is always fresh, delicious and consistent. As well as a great value. The knowledgeable staff is always warm and welcoming with a smile and conversation. A top notch eatery that I have no qualms going out of my way for and would highly recommend that everybody try Sonny's.

My girlfriend and I went, amazing service and staff. Food was very good and reasonably priced. Would reccomend!!

Call ahead he is busy. He cooks his food. He had a truck out in Ny and cooked in ny . He has a ny aura. His food says it all. Ask for anything you had on the menu and he will make it as long as he has the ingredients. He cooks great everything is hot and ready and it taste great. I think no matter what he is going to make it . Also try the chicken chunks with fries and the pork burger. The beef sticks pause are great. I have yet to have anything on the menu that don't taste good. I will try more . I have been here over 30 times. Lol not good I guess but he food is.

My mom and I were looking for lunch on a whim in Southbury, and decided to pop into Sonny’s since I had heard good things. Convenient counter-service style restaurant with a great menu. The Asian style sandwiches are so unique, and we enjoyed the steak teriyaki one! Delicious summer rolls, dumplings, and chicken yakitori as well. The staff member behind the counter was attentive throughout the meal, bringing us napkins and utensils, and even offering to clear our trash. This was exactly what we were looking for and was a nice, quick lunch. We would definitely come back!

Amazing food - so flavorful!! So fresh. Every bite is just so darn tasty! Doesn’t compare to any other casual dining food. And Sonny is such a nice person 😊

Stopped in today and tried the bento box for restaurant week. Really cool fusion of style and awesome flavor. I have been a fan since the food truck days and it’s great they were able to expand to a brick and mortar
