Ok. Let's Do It. My friend and I went out to lunch. This is not only a restaurant but a seafood market as well. I knew the food wasn't going to disappoint because fresh seafood is on deck. It wasn't busy. The staff was friendly and attentive. Orsi was our waitress, and she was great knowledgeable, and what she didn't know she found out for us. I had the seafood sampler and an order of fried clams to go my friend order the fried clams dinner.The food was cooked to perfection. The calamari was cooked just the way I like it. The clams casino were well seasoned, and the oysters were great, too. If you're in Plantsville, you should definitely stop in. You get your money's worth.

Some dishes reasonable otherwise can get pricey. Good food. Good service. Better to call ahead or they get booked with reservations by 4pm and beyond.

Ordered house salad since entree meals don't come with one. It was a huge amount of lettuce which is nice and they were mixed greens, but there was only three tiny cherry tomatoes and three tiny slices of cucumber. Hardly enough to spread throughout the salad. I asked for additional toppings so I could avoid eating plain lettuce, but was told there would be a surcharge and there was $4 added. Seems odd, that salads are so skimpy these days. Otherwise, our meals were very good although on the small side as well for the price. Seating is limited so even with a res we were right by kitchen door and door to outside which was distracting.

Close Harbour consistently has the freshest and best quality seafood. Austin in the market is extremely knowledgeable about their products and offers great advise on proper handling and cooking methods. The staff is always friendly and treats customers like family. This is one of my favorite restaurants/markets in the Southington area!

Been here a few times, noticed their food is starting to lack. Went for a bday lunch spent 110.00, the fries were greasy and dry. Asked for bread, not only did we have to pay for it because it was lunch time ? But the corn bread was SOO dry and hard. Had a similar experience one other time, thought it might’ve been an off day. Except here we are again, food is way to expensive to continue to have these sort of mishaps.
Went to the market to get blue crab for a crab sauce. The person who waited on me drilled me about how I was cooking my sauce and then insulted me stating that my grandmother's recipe was not the correct way to make it ?. He further went on pressuring me to purchase more than I wanted and when I refused he huffed and had an attitude. I get home and the package was damaged and the crabs were all broken. NEVER AGAIN will I waste my time, energy or money at this place. I'll take the ride further south - it's worth it. If I could leave negative stars I would!!!

First, my waitress Mickey, was the best, she blew my mind, so fine. The complimentary bread, corn bread and butter were so good. I started with the lobster bisque and Cod taco with the perfect bam bam sauce, I could have had 5. Then I had the muscles in Dijon sauce and I loved them, I can't wait to go back for more. I ended with the tuna melt on a croissant, different, fresh, and the perfect finish. I stopped into their seafood market on the other side and loved these guys enthusiasm, I learned a lot and tried a shrimp cocktail, wow, loved it. If you're looking for seafood or a seafood meal, this is a place you should try as soon as possible.

The food is incredibly good, I'm still craving for more. We ate so much, i could barely breathe afterwards! We had oysters, clams and the tuna tower (amazing) for appetizers, the crab stuffed cod and the swordfish for entrees (both were beyond perfection). cocktails were also very good. I'm looking forward to my next time in town, just to taste that again! The service was also good and efficient, very friendly and the prices were good too. Do not hesitate to come to this place!
