So yes omg go here! Amazing service. Amazing drinks(Blackberry margaritas) and we ordered five different appetizers/tapas. Calamari, pork tenderloin with pickled beets, crab cakes..omg, PEI mussels in garlic and white wine and beef tenderloin in brandy reduction. Um yah. Let’s do that again soon. 10 stars. I never write reviews so that’s something.
Excellent food amd its presentation.
Very disappointed. I have been going to El Pulpo for many years. I was there a month ago for my birthday and it was wonderful. However, I went there last night and their menu has changed. They took many things off the menu. I had a scallops and lobster dish priced at $30. The scallops tasted bitter and the lobster was scant. Also, the service was not great.
Exceptionally well prepared Spanish food. The paella was delicious as was the parrillada. Wine selection is amazing and reasonably priced.
I wish I could give them more stars. DELICIOUS. The Chef is a true talent and the staff is very friendly!
A true gem - Seafood paella and artichokes are very well done. I’ve traveled to Spain and this place is the real authentic deal.
My favorite place in the area for a proper dinner: excellent food, outstanding presentation, good service, and pleasant surroundings (inside at least--the outside, as is often remarked, hardly seems promising). Tapas are the specialty, so come prepared to enjoy the variety and quality, not the quantity.
Food was tasty and I was happy thatisall
The variety and quality are both magnifique ??. Now quit wasting time and get your toocuss over here!
We have dined here may times over the years for both our personal enjoyment and business. So we were disappointed that our most recent visit fell far short of our previous visits and expectations. The tapas menu seemed limited and the choices we selected were fair at best. With so many dining opportunities and many featuring small traps plates, we will take our business to seek out other restaurants to to our list of favorites.

I enjoy eating at Pulpo. The drinks that was offered to me was excellent. I forgot the name of it. I had the paella. It was ok. A bit salty and a small portion. My wife enjoyed her dinner.
Great meal, Great service. Very reasonable prices for the quality of the meal.
Best seafood meals and appetizers i have had in a long time!!! Excellent service!! Very clean!!!
Every dish better than the next. Complex flavors, perfectly prepared. Highly recommended.
Went here for a date night and the food and service was absolutely amazing! Our server was an absolute sweetheart and was very attentive to our needs. We had coconut scallops on pineapple as an appetizer. I ordered lamb in tomato sauce with lobster risotto and my boyfriend had the filet mignon cooked to perfection. For drinks I had a tropical mojito and red sangria. For “dessert” we had a couple of strawberry coconut rum shots. Again, the food was delicious and the meal was so satisfying! This place is definitely a great hidden gem of Southington and we had an absolutely splendid time and meal here! Definitely coming back!
