Gohan Sushi in Southington is truly a hidden gem! The food is was fresh, beautifully prepared, and full of flavor. Their rolls are creative without being overwhelming, and everything tastes high-quality. The staff is warm, attentive, and genuinely cares about making sure you enjoy your meal.
The restaurant is clean, cozy, and perfect for a casual dinner or a little treat-yourself night out. I’ve tried sushi spots all over CT, and Gohan is easily one of my favorites. Highly recommend to anyone looking for great sushi and great service!

If I could marry this sushi, I’d be writing wedding vows to a spicy tuna roll right now. Each bite was like a fireworks show in my mouth—tiny salmon-shaped rockets exploding with joy. The tuna sashimi whispered secrets of the deep sea straight into my soul, and the miso soup hugged my insides like a warm, brothy grandma.
At one point, I swear I saw a piece of nigiri wink at me. The wasabi didn’t just clear my sinuses—it opened a portal to another dimension where soy sauce flows like rivers and happy sushi chefs ride on giant shrimp. Ten out of ten. If this sushi place were a religion, I’d already be a high priest chanting hymns to the almighty dragon roll.

Stopped by for early dinner on the way back home to Boston traveling from NYC. Didn’t expect much because I was misled so many times by great online reviews. BUT this time the reviewers were right. Don’t let the strip mall location fool you. We’ll be back.

You will not find sushi better than this. I was blown away. The flavor is out of this world. There’s not a lot of rice in the rolls so every piece just melts in your mouth. You don’t need eel sauce or spicy mayo because the flavor is perfect as is. This is a GEM 💎

I highly recommend Gohan Sushi! Every time I take my parents to their doctor, we always stop by. Their sushi is just as impressive as their top-notch customer service. My favorites are the Toro, Uni, and Hokkaido scallops from Japan. The fish is incredibly fresh, and the rice holds together perfectly.
