The hostess who greeted us at the front desk was horribly rude. My niece asked for crayons to color, this seemed to upset the hostess. She proceeded to 'SLAM ' the menus into her hand as she gathered them before she took us to our table. Then when the food finally came, this same person dropped some sausage that was for my neice, then she proceeded to just walk away. We told the other server, and he promptly replaced it after we had to tell him that it was the server who dropped it, not us. While the other servers were very good, this one hostess left us with a very negative experience. I suggest that this women SHOULD NOT be your hostess. Maybe you can find a place for her in the back of the house

I decided to come back after a terrible experience and I'll be honest my server was great the food was alright nothing to write home about But they had a balloon animal guy there and that was really neat so shout out to Ali. Unfortunately they kitchen hasn't figured out how to cook with a sense that someone is waiting for food. And they messed up on gluten-free pancakes so that sucks

I try my hardest to not leave bad reviews, but what an awful experience took me 10 min for someone to seat me (with an absolute empty restaurant) then the waitress was was so rude and nasty for no reason. Food was ok but after that kind of treatment it could be the best food in the world it doesn’t taste good. I don’t who manages this location but they need to get their act together.

Waited for 40 minutes for our food. It came out completely wrong and a different sandwich h than we were supposed to get. The server didn’t let us know they didn’t have the right bread and gave us the wrong sides. The food also was freezing cold. After we ordered he disappeared the whole time. When he took our order he pulled the chair out next to my daughter and sat down and then when he took the order of the table behind us he took the chair from our table and sat down next to them. People all around us were waiting very long, complaining, couldn’t find the server and sending back cold food. Absolutely ridiculous. Worst ihop location we’ve ever been to

I visited the IHOP on 885 Queen st. with my son (a mistake that will never happen again) around 1:30pm on 5/18. I will never visit this location again. The staff were completely unprofessional. The food our waiter brought out was not what I had ordered. We also heard the staff arguing and fighting in the back while waiting for our food. Our waiter (kid with red hair) was extremely unprofessional. We could immediately observe that he did not want to be there as he was slamming condiment trays on the tables making unnecessary noise, was playing with his cell phone more than working and thus we had a horrible experience. All this aside, the moment both me and my son found hair in our food we immediately stopped eating and asked for the check. The owners and management should be ashamed that this is the type of service they provide!

Actually the most disgusting restaurant I’ve been to were sat at a sticky nasty table server takes 20 minutes to even take out drink order then brings out the entire wrong drinks there’s wasps in the restaurant we walked out before even getting our food. I’m repulsed by the entire experience but that’s what we get for going to ihop just go to Ellie’s farmhouse instead

Breakfast was horrible. Food was cold when they brought the meal to the table. Pancakes were tiny and rock hard, butter (where). When complaint was brought up manager only shrugged and $4 took off bill. Waitress was respectful and took care of us amazingly, cooks (not so great!)

I do not like the seating placement, I understand there are limited spots but we got placed next to a big family I couldn’t even hear myself talk, politely asked the server with the red headband & pericings & had a unpleasant attitude, he didn’t even greet us with his name just straight to the order & when we asked to move back a booth he declined so rudely and walked away, not even a sorry. Very unpleasant experience. First impressions are everything. Will not be returning to this destination.

Very disappointed with the service at this IHOP. We were seated right next to a large, loud group even though there were plenty of open tables just a couple of seats down. When we politely asked to move, the staff rudely told us we couldn’t, with no explanation that made any sense. It felt like they just didn’t want to be bothered. First time eating at IHOP in Southington, CT As you enter greeting approach A+, good atmosphere, clean floors & tables, air quality is A+ no food cooking smell in air which is normally is in the air in some restaurants I visited in CT when you first open the entrance door. The food tasted fresh & at eating temperature. No complaints looking to visit again for breakfast in the future on a Saturday or Sunday morning.

This shop was great. They have this awesome guy on Saturdays and Sundays who walks around the restaurant and makes balloon animals and tells jokes. He was so entertaining and I will Definetly recommend going.
