We never write bad reviews on food But the food was not great, the service was good but the fish was not fresh and the chicken was dry. We will try this again but the first go around was not good for it being a $240 meal.

New Mill has long been our go-to spot for dinners with friends and family—we’ve been coming here since it was the Old Mill.
Unfortunately, this visit felt a bit off. There was a $1 upcharge for a Luxardo cherry on a $15 Manhattan, and oddly, two people ordered the same drink but only one was charged the extra dollar.
I mentioned it to the manager on the way out and suggested that if ingredient costs are an issue, the drink could simply be priced accordingly rather than adding a separate surcharge. His response—that Luxardo cherries are expensive—missed the point.
The issue isn’t the dollar, but the inconsistency and tone, especially at a table with a $400 bill. Small details shape how an experience is remembered.

I realize it was usually cold this weekend although there needs to be a better solution for the heating situation in the 2 back rooms. Most of us had to wear out coats the entire evening :-( Regardless I still love this restaurant, its service is always fabulous and the food is always impeccable.

The food here is consistently excellent. Winter decorations are very festive, adding to the usual cozy ambiance. Service is typically very good - attentive without being overbearing, and servers don't rush you out. Weekend nights are frequently very crowded, so make a reservation, and expect it to be a bit noisy.

Our server was exceptional. She had a very long list of specials that she meticulously reviewed with us. Our food was cooked perfectly and we can't wait to come back. It's an extremely welcoming atmosphere. The giraffes outside are stunning!

Once again the New Mill delivered. The food and service were top notch. We sat at the bar and Gabby, who sadly is leaving soon, waited on us and she was her usual great self. The steak special was sublime and my wife's porkchop was great as usual.
The service is excellent and the food is delicious!! Everything was so nicely decorated too.

Everything was great from the food to the server. Only thing I can say as a negative is the smokiness of the bacon can be a little overpowering. Still an excellent choice regardless.
Parking is a bit tight so arrive early.

The restaurant is decorated beautifully during the holidays. It is warm and inviting. The food from appetizers to desserts is consistently delicious. We recommend this restaurant to our friends and family as a must visit often.
