Must try their amazing cider donuts. Great variety of fresh produce and apples. Lots of parking and love to go apple picking here.
Love the variety and quality of the items. Delicious! Popular so checkout a bit backed up. We have gone there for pies, yummy, and end up getting much more!
They have nice apple dumplings ?
Visited the market and there was a wide variety of goods for sale along with tons of apple varieties to choose from. The pick your own did not open until 10AM but I was given permission to roam the grounds which was nice. I would highly recommend this orchard.
Really like this orchard, relatively flat orchard and has a cute little shop with cider and other items for purchase.
Any recommendations for visiting it for the first time? I am new to CT and I would love to go with my family, I do not speak fluent English, are there staff working who speak Spanish?
I live in Tampa Florida, but I'm originally from CT. I lived right now the street from Rogers. While visiting family we stopped in to get some apple cider donuts. Let me just say, this place is great.
Can't say enough about this place. Everything is great here.
Our favorite local place for apple picking! The storefront has awesome options from local businesses - the apple cider and the donuts are must-haves, as are the molasses spice cookies!
Beautiful orchard, and their staff was kind despite warm weather for September and being very busy on a Saturday afternoon.
We loved our time in the orchard, and their apples are beautiful and they have an abundant amount of apples to choose from even so early in the season. It’s honestly impressive!! My only complaint which is why I’m not rating 5 stars… The apples are covered in a significant amount of pesticide. I know it’s needed for larger orchards like Rogers to keep a good crop and insect population control. But it was incredibly overbearing. Myself, and my son broke out in hives on our hands while apple picking. You can feel the consistency of the pesticide on the apples themselves. I also thought it slightly odd that their store is selling golden delicious apples, but they’re not available to pick at the orchard right now? Just a random thought that crossed my mind…
Overall, they have beautiful apples, and it is a beautiful orchard, and very nice staff. I do recommend visiting Roger’s, just be mindful that if you have sensitive skin that the orchard might not be for you. I do wonder if they changed the pesticide they used? We’ve gone apple picking before and this was a first and only time occurrence that we’ve broken out in hives and felt this type of consistency on the surface of freshly picked apples. Have fun, get sweet treats and local products, just be mindful if you have sensitive skin and go into the orchard ?

Best cider in the world
Excellent source for in season fruit and vegetables locally sourced and grown.
They have a wonderful selection of local apples, produce, sweets, and some good cider too. The staff there are also friendly and helpful. It’s always a nice visit when I go there.
I visited last October. A great selection of Apple picking, beautiful little rustic shop and an incredible view over both the beautiful Connecticut countryside and also views of downtown Hartford. If you're traveling to Connecticut and want a real new England experience, visit Rogers Orchard - Shuttle Meadow.
Nice store with lots of apples, cider, baked goods and now even spiked cider! Went on a Saturday morning though and tasting room opens on Saturdays at 12pm. Very nice place with specialty foods too like salsa, pasta, tomato sauces. Some are expensive however local so worth a try. Cider is very delicious
