We’ve been to Sherman’s many times and have taken many of our friends there. We are so happy they are back open! Chef Dan is awesome and we so enjoy the menu. Tonight we took our out of state friends for dinner. The beer list is always interesting, but always has some good old standards. The ladies had drinks off the drink menu. I just loved Carnival Mule with Carmel Vodka. Each couple split a grilled chicken sandwich (apple bacon chutney was awesome) and a classic burger (cooked to a perfect medium rare). The best part of the meal was the Kentucky Dry Rub wings. Outstanding! Stephanie did a great job. Service was great, thanks everyone who kept an eye on us! If you haven’t tried them yet, please do!

Used to go all the time before they closed. First time going since they reopened. Won’t be back. Food is good ok. Service sucks and drinks sucked and weren’t made correctly. Took 30 minutes to get someone over to tell them the drinks were missing ginger beer and we were told we were wrong… I think we would know if the Moscow mule drinks didn’t have ginger beer in them… ginger beer is very distinctive… too many other excellent places around to waste time and money here. Disappointing because this place was awesome before.

Had their 3 taco deal. Yummy! My favorite had to be the steak... but all were great! The staff were all very friendly. Will be making this a regular stop!

Great music. Very friendly staff. I loved the Salmon Fritters! I will be back for them. They have a pretty good tequila selection IMO.

We came in for our first visit and sat at the bar and had a lovely conversation with the owner. They have SO many different beers on tap and the food is delicious!!! The Mac and cheeses with brisket is my FAVORITE! I will definitely be back and will be bringing friends. It is a MUST visit place in a great location.

Food was good, took awhile to get it. Tough to have a conversation with a band playing

Came here on a Saturday night around 6:30 and stayed over 3 hours! Super nice and attentive wait staff. Great selection of beer and other full bar options at reasonable prices. Menu featured great comfort food. We had 2 orders of wings as an appetizer and they were crispy and flavorful. Everyone enjoyed their meals (steak sandwiches and tacos). The fries are great. Plenty of TVs if you want to watch sports but we were there to enjoy the live music provided by Wally Jacobson. We were able to park right out in front of the restaurant which was really convenient.

We've eaten here before and enjoyed it but this last time the food was disappointing. The Buffalo dip didn't taste at all like Buffalo chicken. The j*** chicken taco had no j*** seasoning. Just dried chicken. The rice with the rice and beans for the tacos was jasmine rice so it too was blah. No Flatbreads. Must have been the wrong weekend to go because they were out of so many things.

Visited for a happy hour mid-week around the holidays. We took up pretty much the whole bar area as it was very quiet at the time. Beer selection was on point with probably around 50 beers on tap including classics, locals, and some less common imports. The staff was friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable.

I asked for a well done burger on a lettuce wrap and received a completely pink meat burger with no lettuce wrap. Threw it out. So disappointed

We were looking for somewhere to grab some last minute dinner when we came across Sherman's Taphouse. Our group was pretty large, and for being such a last minute party, the hostess was very accommodating. The menu had so many different options on it, which made it very difficult to choose from! I went with the Cuban sandwich and fries. I'm not a huge fan of dipping my fries in ketchup so I asked for a side of buffalo sauce and this buffalo sauce was not what I was expecting! It was thick and creamy and just the perfect amount of kick. My boyfriend got some tacos with rice and beans, which he also really liked. We will definitely be back!

Stopped in one weekday afternoon with the wife for lunch. Glad we did. Wife ordered the brisket sandwich with fries. Nothing outstanding, but I have had some serious smoked brisket in TX and OK. For CT standard's it's very good. Just missing that melted gelatinous collagen that gives a silky mouth feel. Fries are dangerous... Hot, crisp, and salty... The way all potatoes should be treated. What I want to talk about are the wings, or, more specifically, the J*** sauce that coated them. First, wings are cooked perfectly, crispy with a tender juicy chew. The j*** sauce was something else. While there was probably a little more than I would like on them, it made for a perfect dip for the fries. This sauce hits you first with the citrusy acid, like lime and sour orange. Then the tamarind, which is the stage, so to speak, for the supporting thyme and allspice notes. It's only after you've had 2or 3 you realize there's some scotch bonnet in the background that really starts coming through. Not overly hot that you need to stop, but enough to make you take a big swig of an ice cold Kolsh style beer from the tap. While I forget the name of the beer(no. 31 or 32), the crisp, clean Kolsh style is the perfect accompaniment for the job. If you're a wing freak like myself, and like to try different things than just your normal buffalo or BBQ, give this citrus / tamarind umami packed love child a try... And order a second beer.

Went to the southington location for lunch at a quiet time; only about 5 tables needing to be served. Took about an hour for 2 chicken ceasar salads. The portions were very small for the price. The salad was soggy and the dressing tasted old. We will not be returning.

Friendly, welcoming staff. Great beer selection. The food was yummy. There was a mix up with our order and the staff handled it very well. We left full and happy. Glad we stopped in and will be back!
