Beer was fine. The inside seating feels like a community college dining room.
Excellent beer, food, service! Definitely great atmosphere and super friendly ownership and staff!
This review is a part of my quest of visiting all CT breweries. I was biased even before I started this review, because I absolutely loved Transcend beers at many beer festivals they were present and also visited their previous location in Southington once and bought every beer they had available (spoiler: they were awesome). So I pretty much knew what to expect.
The brewery occupies a big chunk of a building. There's plenty of parking space available. Inside, there's a huge hangar-style room and another smaller room with games for the kiddos. There's a full kitchen available. I tried their meat pizza and it was delicious.
As for the beers, I noticed that the brewery shifted their brewing habits. If their taps were full of pastry sours before, those are the minority now. 9 beers were available on tap during my visit, with 4 of them being Double/Triple IPAs. They do not serve beer flights, but almost every beer can be ordered as a full, half or small pour. For this review I tried every beer they had. And I was still impressed. I'm tired of IPAs in craft breweries, but their La Mort Au Nord (Triple IPA) was astonishing. My final vote goes to Ink (Barrel Aged Imperial Stout) though, as it was incredibly thick, rich and complex in taste.
I absolutely recommend visiting this brewery to any craft beer enthusiast. It deserves a dedicated trip here just to enjoy new memorable flavors.
Awesome atmosphere. Food and beverages were great. Staff was attentive and friendly.
Great beer, food and atmosphere!
Beer was okay, bathrooms were clean. Bartender with the Harry Potter tattoo was running our card and talking to another bartender, and instead of turning to hand us our card, he flicked it over the bar so my husband had to scramble to grab it so it didn't go over the bar. He never even looked at us.
Absolutely the best beer around. The atmosphere is great, the people are friendly, food is excellent. Plus they have a great selection of merch that is unique. I highly recommend everyone go here.
The beer was great! The building echoed a bit though so when children screamed it was very loud 😂
I am NOT a beer drinker AT ALL…but I’ve been converted by Transcend’s Skittles inspired flavor. I don’t really visit breweries/taprooms and always wanted to try it out. I went earlier today with an awesome group of folks and got my very first brewery tee and the best smoked wings I’ve EVER had. Noel was SO AWESOME and went the extra mile to make sure we got the wings and BOY were they worth the wait! The vibe is awesome and the place was teeming with so much business I didn’t realize this was a SOFT reopening!! 🤯
Can’t wait to come back!! Go visit if you’re in CT!!
Sweet spot nice venue

Great beer the owners are super cool
Transcend has really good hazy IPAs. We are talking Treehouse quality. They only have cans to go and limited hours, but it is well worth the trip. Highly recommended!!!
There are limited hours but worth the visit. The brewer/owner takes real pride in their beer and lets you sample the product and then order individual cans. All the beers are good but there are some that really fit my palate and I was able order a custom amount of cans. I’ll be back and I really appreciate this unique brewery with really really good unique beers. This place is about passionate beers rather than just making sales.
Best Sours around. Hops are great too
Had a Maliboo Mist & now I'm addicted! Try that, Tart Cherry & Jelly Donut! Very excited to visit & enjoy more brews. :)
