Bedford Hall Craft Kitchen & Bar

Went for lunch on a Monday. There was virtually nobody eating there. But no matter. Our service was good, the food was excellent. And the cook paid attention to the details as the presentation was great. Everyone could have taken the day off and phoned it in since no one was there but us for most of the time. They didn't though. They deserve 5 stars.

They gutted the old menu and ruined it. No more sweet chili shrimp, no corn dip, and no skillet cookie. The desserts were a sliver of chocolate cake, an apple oatmeal, and a sliver of carrot cake. Staff is amazing but don’t waste your time and money here. Fixed something that was never broken……I don’t know, go to Americano or literally anywhere else downtown.

Went here for drinks and dinner for the first time since the renovation (and menu upgrades!) and we were very pleased and surprised by how amazing the food was. However, with the new updates, they also updated their cocktail menu and they're terrible. My table of 4 all tried different drinks and they were disgusting and watered down. Go for the food not for drinks!

I absolutely love the new Bedford Hall! The new menu is delicious and has so many great options it’s hard to pick a favorite. In the few times I have come in the servers and bartenders have been so attentive and helpful, checking in and always making sure you are doing well! The whole atmosphere of the restaurant shifted in such a positive way and is so fun to come into whether it’s for dinner, lunch, brunch or just getting drinks! Definitely would recommend checking it out, without a doubt one of my favorite spots in Stamford!

Unfortunately, I have not been to this restaurant in quite a while, but two nights ago I had a craving for beef, short ribs, and my husband and I attempted to go there. We got there on Thursday night and were about to walk into the restaurant when we encountered a young Latino man who appeared to be part of the wait staff standing outside. As we approached the door, I looked over at the young man and watched him pick his nose right outside the front door of the restaurant. When I turned to look at my husband, who was walking on my left near the young man, he proceeded to pick his nose even more And wiped it on his apron. This is so horrible because I have been to Bedford Hall for brunch, dinner, and happy hour. I don’t know if I could ever go back now. That was so upsetting that any staff member would think that it’s OK to stand out in front of the restaurant and do something so inappropriate and disgusting! I wish that I could unsee what I saw.

The renovations look great, but theres a few changes that are disappointing. The french fries didn't seem as crispy as they used to be, and they removed the garlic aioli that used to be served with the fries (or didn't serve our sandwich with it). The fried chicken sandwich with brie was removed from the menu as well. I'll revisit in a few weeks to re-assess, but that sandwich and aioli were my favorite part of Bedford Hall!

I was here Friday night and Jen was the best! I appreciated her speedy service, her attentions to detail and the fact that she’s overall really dope. She’s fast and efficient and I would take her as my bartender any day.
