I've been going to Blackstone in Southport, Norwalk and Stamford and Greenwich for years. "Superlative" is not strong enough to describe my experiences. The staff is attentive but not overpowering. I had onion soup and the cheese was flowing over the edges of the crock. The main course, NY Strip, was flavorful and tender. My favorite side is creamed spinach. There was more than enough for two.
We visited Blackstone Stamford during restaurant week. The filet mignon and strip steak were excellent . The iceberg lettuce was very small but tasty. The calamari was very good as well but on the smaller side. The carrot cake was a generous size and tiramisu was delicious. The waiter was very pleasant but not as attentive as he should have been since the restaurant was not busy at the time. Overall, it was a great dinner and I would recommend it.
The service is uneven at the bar. My first visit was phenomenal, but the second one was atrocious. I was asked to clear my plate twice despite having a drink and recently asked for a refill on my "coke" (Pepsi is served).

Food is good and filet is of very high quality, though sides are poorly seasoned.

They also sing birthday songs, almost like a Texas Roadhouse.

I will not be coming back.
