I want to start by giving a HUGE shoutout to Nicki (apologies for any mis-spelling). She was our waitress last Friday night. It was nice to be able to have a drink while we waited outside until a table opened up, which was well worth the wait. I don't believe it is an exaggeration to say I have never seen a waitress work as hard as she did considering all the people she was waiting on, including those outside waiting for tables. She was personable, memorized our orders without writing them down, gave great recommendations, and was just a joy for our group to have with us for the night. Some of the best service we have ever had eating out at a restaurant.
Of course, the food was amazing and we would happily come back just for that, but Nicki's service is the reason we would come back here instead of somewhere else that has great food. Thank you for a wonderful night!

Food wasn't that great at all, service started good but then never came to check up not even for the bill. Time to update in general especially the menu. A bit overpriced on específica items.

For a very very busy restaurant they make you feel at home! Nikki (sorry if I didn't spell.it right) was attentive and balanced with all her tables. Food... holy cow you feel like your sitting with your grandmother and any wish you want can be delivered, because they can!! The mousse and and lemoncello sent the night over the moon...! Definitely worth any drive or wait!!!!

It was the number one suggested dining experience for a work trip to Stamford. We were able to walk in and get a table for three at 5:15 which we were told would be a long shot but the gentlemen was very accommodating even though it appeared to be quite busy. The server was great and he had great descriptive suggestions for each of us based on what we were looking for. They adjust ingredients to make each dish as we wished and the food was excellent!
Thank you for a great meal and experience!

Excellent, authentic Italian food. I don't know how they do it with such an abundant menu and keep the quality of food so high. From the homemade fetucine and grappa to the perfectly cooked octopus and broccoli rabe, I cannot wait to dine here again! The owner/chef took time out to greet his patrons and ensure we were enjoying our meals.

Good, not great, casual Italian.
We had a solid lunch at Cafe Silvium. We arrived for our 1pm reservations on a Monday to a packed restaurant, and were incredibly grateful we made reservations ahead of time. We were sat at our table immediately.
At the peak lunch hour, it was very noisy. We all had to lean in and raise our voices just to hear each other. But as the lunch rush dissipated, and tables emptied, the atmosphere became much more pleasant.
The menu is exceedingly long, so long that you have to wonder how they manage to do all these dishes well. It turns out, they do some well, and some not so well. The rigatoni gnat gnat was wonderful, nice toothsome pasta with a good sauce. The tortellini on the special menu was a heavy salt-bomb.
When asked, our server very helpfully gave us ideas on what were the better dishes on the menu. But while he recommended the rigatoni, he also recommended the tortellini special.
What I most appreciated about the restaurant was that this felt more authentically Italian than most restaurants in the area. Italian restaurants in this area are more Italian-American with menus dominated with red sauce on everything and dishes like Chicken Francese.

A small restaurant (recommend reservations). The menu had a wide variety of food. 2 appetizers, 2 main courses, 2 desserts and a soda, with tip, $140.
