My second time trying Chicho’s Cocina. Ordered via Grubhub and it was a solid experience from start to finish. The food arrived faster than expected and everything was still hot, which is always a good first impression.
I ordered one of their bowls and it was loaded. Grilled chicken marinated and coated in their cilantro lime sauce over white rice and black beans, with lettuce, esquites which is that creamy Mexican corn, pickled red onions, white onions, cilantro, their homemade jalapeño avocado sauce, and cotija cheese. There was a lot going on in the best way possible. The flavors were well balanced with a nice mix of spicy, savory, creamy, a little sweetness, and some texture from the fresh toppings.
Portion size was filling and the ingredients tasted fresh and thoughtfully put together. Overall, this was a very good bowl and a great option if you want something flavorful that still feels put together.
I would definitely order from here again and would recommend giving it a try.
