One of my favorite places for tacos in Stamford. El pastor is a must. Don't go for decor, go for best tacos!

I'm astonished this place is rated highly. We ordered delivery through a third-party service and I can't name one dish we were happy with. The fajitas (pictured) were more tomato soup than not. The refried beans in paper packaging (which opened) were all over the plastic bag. There were no tortillas included with the fajita dish. The two tacos had a whole onion in them, which we tore apart in astonishment. ?????? I do not know what to say. I do not know how this onion passed in the kitchen. The onion's top (green bits) are clearly present. Pictured. The quesadilla was on the dry side. It just wasn't pleasant. The sope had an odd cheese choice. The bottom of the dish (beneath the flour) was plastered in old beans. The bunuelos were okay. Not my favorite, but just okay. I wouldn't finish them if I had the option. I didn't.

I love El Charrito. Someone introduced me to it when I was a teenager and it has been my favorite Mexican restaurant ever since. The burritos are amazing, the quesadillas are as authentic as you can get. The spicy sauce is so good, but brutally spicy.

Those mexican style quesadillas are the best. I ordered 4 the other day, all with different fillings and had food for 2 days. Tasted great hot and still tasted great when reheated. I hope they stay around for a long time.

Favorite local taco place, great tortas as well! Saw the post by Hey Stamford, would hate to see a great place like this close - support them!

This by far was the worse Mexican food ever!! We are from Mexico and always looking to try something new. We decided to visit this place. Ordered some tacos, not even Mexican so blend no flavor, my husband and I decided to give it another try and it was so bad I had a terrible stomach ache and couldn’t even finish my food. I have no clue what this reviews are taking about. If you have no idea what real Mexican food is then by any means this is your place. Hope they can just review their menu and get a new cook!!!

One word. Delicious! I am always on the hunt for a good burrito. It has to start with a good tortilla. Nice thickness. Check! And fresh produce and tender meat. Check and check. I tried their Burrito Azteca which came filled with tender marinated steak, nicely melted cheese, seasoned slightly mashed black beans, freshly grilled green and red peppers, onions, nopales and chipotle mayo. Flavor profile: Think "composed beef fajita". Satisfying and filling at $11. Worth it. Husband had the Pork Torta. This my friends is an amazing sandwich. Flavorful and tender slices of pork. Nice and juicy with its toppings on a proper toasted bun. My daughter ordered the Carne Asada platter. Another beautiful dish. Bonuses, great parking and super friendly service. All food cooked to order and piping hot.

The staff here is so unbelievably rude and unprofessional. Recommend to order from somewhere else

Loved the food when they were in the truck at Jackie Robinson park. Tried the tacos...Not what I remember at all. Dry, flavorless fillings. Al pastor was canned pineapple on top of unidentifiable meat. I couldn't squeeze and lime juice out of the dry and old pieces in the box. Tortillas were not fresh. So disappointing.

I’m literally obsessed with the food they make definitely a 10/10 restaurant and also the staff are super nice.

The quality of food is very bad. The ingredients and the meat was stale. My stomach got upset.

DELICIOUS and an amazing delivery experience! We got two orders of enchiladas delivered from here. Not only was the food delicious, but the portions were amazing for the price! The rice in the rice and beans were slightly dry, but that's a very minor complaint from me. I wish the picture I took was more photogenic, but my order was chicken enchiladas. The tortilla was pretty thick and did a great job of holding everything together even when it soaked up the salsa verde. There was a nice hint of spiciness, but not overpowering. The chicken was seasoned well and everything came together to make a great enchilada dish! El Charrito will probably be my go-to for Mexican in the Stamford area, and hopefully will become your go-to as well!
