Frank Pepe Pizzeria Napoletana

Dined in at the new Frank Pepe's in Stamford last month and was extremely disappointed. We ordered a large sausage and onion pizza. Our waitress asked do you mind the char and we said no problem because that's what Pepe's pizza is known for. But when our pizza was delivered to us, it was the polar opposite of char, it was anemic- looking. The sausage, onion and cheese were almost the same color as the parchment paper it was on. We asked if it could be thrown back in the oven for some more cooking and were told that it's already been cut in slices so they can't do that. No other options were offered. Big rip off for $35.
And on top of a soggy pizza, our pitcher of Sam Adams beer had some chum floating in it.
Will definitely NOT be returning.

Just what Stamford needed, a buzzing delitious dinning option with large enough seating area. The pizza indeed live up to the reputation. The Italian salad we ordered tasted really good too. Staff were friendly and efficient. The survey they sent out after my visit would help maintain the Frank Pepe image cuz it's very well designed. We'll definitely be back often.

So good!!! Pizza is amazing BUT if you’re ordering get the app and schedule a pickup time. Super hard to get so plan ahead. Service in store is okay, it seems like everyone is overwhelmed but it’s new and one of my favorite places so doesn’t stop me from coming

Personally, I'm not a fan of the overcooked, charred crust style pizza. There are people that love it. Overlooking that, their sauce is good. Service for a busy Saturday night was also very good. The small Ceasar salad was more than enough for two. The dessert options were a little limited. There were only 3 the waiter mentioned, but people don't come here for dessert, they come for people. Is it worth the try, definitely!

Great service, and pizza. Personal pies are big enough to fill me. As a crust eater, it’s also one of the better ones to eat. Starla was my server and was really kind and accommodating
