The woman behind the counter was unbelievably kind and patient. She was helpful to my wife and myself when she was admitted from the hospital and was feeling scared and acting erratically. Unlike what most people in store that size would’ve done she was patient and offered assistance by letting us use the phone to call for a ride and wait inside as a stalker looking for trouble was pacing out front, trailing us. Omg!!! I am eating the best curry chicken ever, right now, while I am writing this review ! The seasoning is making me feel like I’m eating somewhere in Ochie or Negril. The chicken is tender, the rice and peas are delicious. My husband had the J*** chicken and he says it’s the best he’s had in a while. Plus there is fried jumbo shrimp available every day. If you’re looking for tasty island food, this is the place.
I’ve only had the oxtail. The food was decent. Better than expected. As with most West Indian restaurants... it comes with attitude. They can be rude for no actual reason, especially the older lady. God forbid you ask for extra gravy or a actual shopping bag. We nuh have dat!!!
