We had an amazing experience at this restaurant. The food was outstanding. The service was fantastic...Buchi was our server and he couldn't have done a better job. I'm definitely going back!

Server was proud to share and recommend dishes traditional to Albania, as well as meaning of the restaurant’s name — roughly translating an old tradition of welcome with offer of food to visitor “.. welcome and come in and share whatever we have”.

This Albanian restaurant is my favorite spot in Stamford—I've been here over 10 times, and it never disappoints. Their dips are incredibly flavorful, and the Borek and Mantia appetizers are absolute must-tries. The food is consistently delicious, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting, perfect for any occasion. They also play great music, which adds to the experience. Whether you're a fan of Albanian cuisine or trying it for the first time, this place will leave you wanting to come back for more! Highly recommend for anyone in the area.

Fantastic food and pleasant service: we visited on a very busy evening so wait times could be protracted but we’d certainly come back. Burke with meat, veal dumplings and the mixed grill meat platter were excellent.

We were really excited to try this place out but unfortunately it didn’t meet our expectations. We were seated at a strange table (4 of us at a 6 person table in the middle of the server pathway right by the loud bar / some event and there was a draft). Our server didn’t speak a word to us or even seem to care that we were there. The bread and dips came out fast (they were good) but the rest of our food took an hour to arrive with no one checking in on us. There was a hair in the salad, only one mushy pepper for the “stuffed peppers,” and the meat platter and branzino were average at best. It was unfortunate as we were hoping to have a nice experience to catch up with old friends but the entire time we were distracted by all the movement behind us, put off by our server, and left waiting for our food while freezing (we had to put our winter coats on by the end). I’m not sure why this place got top 100 restaurant by NYT so could have been a really off day but the management might want to look into these issues for future guests.

Visiting Çka Ka Qëllu felt like stepping into someone's grandma's house, where the flavors are as rich as the hospitality. The culinary experience here is a delightful journey through Albanian cuisine, with dishes that seem to carry the warmth and love of traditional home cooking.

The ambiance is both comforting and intriguing, with decor that transports you to another time, reminiscent of a bygone era in Albania. The food, however, is the star of the show. Each dish brings a burst of flavors, from the tangy ajvar to the comforting, fluffy bread known as somun. The somun, served with various dips like tarator, adds a delightful touch to the meal, making you feel like you're enjoying a family feast rather than dining out.

Standout dishes include the qebapa, which are small, flavorful sausages, and the Skenderbeg steak, a unique and delicious twist on the classic schnitzel, filled with cheese and served with cream sauce. The variety and authenticity of the food ensure there's something for everyone, even if you're new to Albanian cuisine.

Overall, Çka Ka Qëllu is a gem for anyone looking to explore the rich tapestry of Albanian flavors in a setting that feels both historical and homely. Highly recommended for those seeking a memorable dining experience with a taste of tradition.

I just called the restaurant to place a reservation for one of their events, and the person that was taking my call hung up on me out of the blue. I used to like going here, but after this they lost a customer.

Over all solid Resturant with Albanian food. The food is a combination of Greek Turkish and Eastern European flavors. The food was good fresh and tasty. The service was good. Prices are reasonable
