Prices going up and quality going down. I've eaten here for years but just can't justify it anymore based on the price and lack of consistency. I used to eat here probably 2-3 a times a month. $10.25 for Gyoza? $8.25 for a California Roll??

I don’t like giving bad reviews but this was bad.

I've been eating from this establishment for the past three years since living in Stamford. Normally, the food is good but today I had to submit a review. My food was less than appetizing, the rice was dry, the shrimp and garlic sauce was dry and just didn't seem fresh as a whole. I didn't realize until I got home and it was a total waste of money.

Manager is very rude! Called to let them know item was missing from order, she argued with me that I never ordered it. I told her it was the first thing I ordered and maybe she didn't understand me, she started to argue with me.

I am very picky when it comes to Chinese food. This food has been the best I've found so far in Stamford. I tried a few other hit spots and definitely prefer this restaurant over the rest. Looking forward to trying other dishes.

One of the most disappointing meals we’ve ever had. We ordered carry-out, spent $90 for 2 special rolls, an appetizer platter, shrimp-fried rice and rock shrimp, so it was a pretty expensive take-out The food was really disappointing: eggrolls tasted like rancid oil, most of the items in the appetizer platter were burned, sushi rolls were pretty tasteless. This was never among my favorite places but decided to give it another try - after this though we are done with it.

False advertising, order at your own risk. Their vegetable chow mein and I’m assuming all “chow mein” DOES NOT contain actual noodles. They said if you wanted actual noodles you need to order the ‘Lo mein’. I’ve eaten enough Chinese takeout to know what Chow Mein is. 1 star!

The food was pretty good. I just didn't like the mushrooms in my lo mein. The customer service was OK, definitely room for improvement there. Overall, it's a good place

if I could put zero I would !! ordered online ON THEIR WEBSITE waited 2 hours only to call the restaurant and figure out that the order was never placed and money was refunded through the front desk - not a single email or notification that my order was not placed and cancelled !! front desk manager can NOT help and insisted I was ordering through another platform while am staring at their actual website !! BRAIN FARTS

Amazing food! Among all the takeout options in Stamford, Kampei stands out as one of the best, if not the best. I can't pick just one favorite dish because everything is consistently delicious, but I particularly love their Japanese bento boxes, sushi bar offerings, chow fun, and shredded duck. Whether you choose takeout or dine-in, the atmosphere and service are both excellent. Highly recommended!
