I love the food I had some rice and pinto beans with some Res and I’m telling you the first bite brought back memories like true Peruvian cooking I damn near cried because it brought back memories of my grandfathers cooking and I just loved the food so much omg this is my favorite Peruvian restaurant in Connecticut!

All I can say is wow! Absolutely loved our meal. The service was spectacular and the place is so cute. You feel like you are in Peru. The food is authentic, with amazing flavors. Highly recommend!

This was the best meal I’ve had in years. the food was pure perfection, staff was extremely polite and welcoming making you feel like you’re at home. I was skeptical about Peruvian food at first, now i can’t wait to come back.

At the core of Llama Lips is the esteemed Peruvian chef, Lucy, who crafts recipes that have been meticulously passed down through generations. These dishes are imbued with love, tradition, and a profound sense of home. Lucy’s culinary expertise, characterized by a harmonious blend of flavors, resulted in a delectable “causa de pollo” and “chaufa de pollo” that evoked tonight Saturday vivid memories of my late father cooking at home. The pisco sours were also perfectly executed. Along with Lucy, celebrating heritage is Bill, her charming husband and the two friendly waitresses. We plan to return next weekend to indulge in the delectable pollo a la brasa and once again enjoy the music “Peruanita Bonita”.

So 8/19/2025 at night was my first time going to this restaurant with high expectations, reality was different after I received my order. The manager told me that the taste of the food is just like Peru, honestly my food did not smell well. My food was contaminated by plastic that was melted by the heat of the food they gave me. I couldn't go back to change my food on time because I had to work overnight. So I came in today 8/20 and I showed the photo to the manager, and she said because her policy the food/complain has to be the same day. So they really don't care about their customers or at least their first time customers. Never going back again and thank you for opening my eyes that this is a horrible and disgusting place to eat. Also here is the proof of your contaminated food you gave me. Hopefully the owners do something about this because this could end up on a law suit.

My first time in that place and I felt welcome the owner greeted us, he told us that it was homemade food and I really didn't believe it but at the time of trying the very delicious food and 100% assured that it is homemade food, I will be back soon it is my favourite place since today

The truth is, it was an excellent meal, with great presentation, very good seasoning, the waitresses were super friendly, and the place had a cozy atmosphere with very affordable prices. I’ve been to many Peruvian restaurants, but none like this one. It was a very good experience; I would definitely come back
