Just think you guys should update Google and your website as it says you are open and you are not. Tried calling three times today to make a reservation and only discovered it was closed until my husband saw a Google review. Would have been really annoying to have my parents drive 45 minutes there to have to turn around.
Rated one only because the couldn’t be bothered to update there website. To say they are temporary closed. Arrived there today to find 3 other groups of people scratching their heads too.
I found out that this place may soon be a distant memory through coming across it's estate sale on facebook marketplace. A shame for sure, it was a nice little historic place that really had a charm. I recall my friend recommending me this place and we ate here on a road trip. The owners were nice and I am saddened to see it up for an estate sale, I don't know if it is still in business or not, but I recommend it's community to save this place, otherwise eat there while you can before yet another historic building is possibly knocked down for condos like I see all to often. My condolences to the family for their loss.
Nothing was good or bad - everything was average. The shrimp scampi was not a traditional prep lacking the butter and garlic that is the base of the dish. Salmon was OK, but was overcooked and lacking taste, the Sole was mushy. Desserts were mixed - Mousse Cake good, Creme Brulee average, Pecan Pie disappointing. Service was about average too. The dining room is so warm and historic, too bad the food doesn't live up the space.
Casual and rustic restaurant with a lot of history and charm. Always enjoy being there but bar service is awful. Need a bartender with personality and energy. They do a great burger although tonight it took an hour for the burger to be served and it was cold. Live music is back!
1st time here, was here for Father's day brunch.Since covid-19, nothing is normal but the staff, owners and food was abovePar and the ambiance with cloth table settings were 100%!!! I recommend
Very good food and service. Grilled chicken sandwich was very tasty.
I have to say, the food was pretty good but we did not experience professional American service. Firstly, after being seated by the maitre d, we were told by the waitress that the chef was closing the kitchen and that it was our fault for not getting orders in on time because we were "taking our time". She was also very much not friendly and unhelpful. We seemed aggravated by us and did not use proper English saying "thank you much". Sorry, but I expect the excellent service that is so central to American dining culture when I eat out with my family at a tavern.
The service was horrible, waited a long time for my entree only to have it come cold. The attitude of the manager is just rude and unprofessional.
Beautiful atmosphere and delicious food

Stumbled upon this Tavern coming off the parkway. Amazing food and a great old building. Will come again next time we are in the area.
We enjoy this place for the atmosphere, their delicious brunch and friendly customer service!
Was amazing! I highly recommend anyone who wants to enjoy really good food and hospitality! They also have a live band music , staff is incredible they all make you feel like home! Food is excellent and upstairs is a unique antique space with very beautiful style ornaments for gifts!I can't wait to go back again ❤
Ate there Easter it was awful! From them running out of bloody Mary’s to sending my steak back 3 times and it was still raw. The Tavern had gone down for sure!
We arrived and the place was empty but the staff insisted we stay. The decor was worth the trip alone. I had the chicken pot pie. Wow. The best I've ever had. My friend had the Duck ala Orange and he was amazed at the whole thing. Kept raving how wonderful every aspect was,(he's a foodie and in the industry)Most times you go to a place as they were about to close you get served a rush job of food and service, however these guys did a great job making us feel welcome. I've heard of this place word of mouth for years and finally tried it and it was more than I expected. I Will go back again.
