I've been here at least 10 times. Absolutely DELICIOUS, always fresh, incredible portions, so reasonably priced, and undoubtedly the best poke bowl you'll get within many many tens of miles.
It's a hidden gem, small corner place you'll likely miss many times during your trips to Trader Joe's, but it's my favorite restaurant in Stamford. It's family owned and you'll see the brilliant kids helping their parents in the front register on occasion.
Also, they deliver in house, so you dont need to overpay with Grubhub, etc.
10/10 stars.

I recently tried the lunch special at Open Rice and found a lot to appreciate, especially considering the price. The food earns a solid 3 out of 5. While the ingredients were fresh and well-prepared, the flavors, though good, were not particularly standout. However, where Open Rice truly shines is in its service, which I would rate a perfect 5 out of 5. The staff was remarkably attentive and efficient, making the dining experience smooth and enjoyable. For anyone looking for a quick, healthy meal with excellent service, Open Rice is definitely worth a visit

The food is very good. Especially the pork gyoza. They have comfy seating and the wait for food is about 5-10 minutes.
Vegetarian options: If you’re vegetarian, Open Rice is still a good place to eat.
Parking: A few parking lots around the area, which usually aren’t too packed.
Kid-friendliness: Lots of yummy food!
Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp leading up to the door.

My first try was ok. Average takeout Chinese food. . Picked up 2 lunch items. Gave them another try. The second and third visits was very different. The Hot & Sour soup was terrific. I also loved the Hunan Chicken. Suggest you order takeout before arriving... they do a ton of takeout and avoid a 20-minute wait.

I ordered a party tray for a Hanukkah party and it came out so good.The sushi was fresh, delicious, and it was visually appealing. They were also quick with it. Very efficient, guests loved it, and it was delicious. I recommend going to Open Rice for a quick bite, or for a party tray just like this. The family who owns the place is also very nice and hardworking. 10/10!! Thank you Open Rice for the best sushi ever.

Ordered steamed chicken and broccoli via delivery app.Received order minus the chicken.Reported missing item to delivery service and was given a dollar for the issue.They charge $15 for the order and position the steamed broccoli as a main and $1 for added chicken.Trash. Ridiculous rip off.Food we did receive was absolutely terrible.Will never order again.
OMG, my favorite sushi place, ever. We always bring home favorites, my family rarely strays from their usual selections, Open Rice is consistent. The Lady Gaga roll, and The Spicy Santa Roll, are the must-haves.
