Classic diner experience. Got a Reuben, which was by the books, fries on the side were a little lacking in quantity but otherwise no complaints!

Ok this is a long one!
The food is diner quality maybe it's our choices but the chicken and Belgian waffle is a simple plate... The chicken was small nuggets that were overcooked and half was inedible due to so hard from fryer.

The staff on the other hand were a great help and remade my wife's sub when we didn't say no onions (onions weren't in the menu under the wedge) they did not charge us even tho we took it to go, we offered to pay but they declined.

Overall good place but the food was standard

OMG I can't find one thing good to say about this Diner. First when we came in, at 12:30 pm there was no customers and the lights were off in half the restaurant. I should have left at that point but I thought you can't go wrong with eggs sausage home fries and coffee. Was I wrong ? Service was snow as a snail and there were no other tables if customers! I placed order and waiter 20 minutes for burnt home fries, eggs and bread. I never got a refill on my coffee and server never came back around for anything. Two additional
couples came in and seated halfway through my meal and I knew they were regulars cause the service were very accommodating with them and laughing and talking. I would suggest a better service to new customers so they will return. All the good reviews here are more likely from loyal local regulars but I can spend my money elsewhere and it's not cheap! Still I left a 20% tip for zero service and burnt food.

Server seemed like we were a bother. Omelet was overcooked and all I could taste was the spinach. Barely had any bacon in the omelet at all. I couldn't eat half of it since it was so overcooked. No flavor at all. Asked for the check and waited another 10 minutes while other tables were cleaned, when they weren't busy at all. Could be cleaner also. Ate at this diner before 1 year ago and it was good, even the service was better, but we got dinner. I would say breakfast isn't their strong suit.

Some regulars were in there basically bullying people about politics and looking for a fight. They started shout-singing “God Bless America” and chanting “USA” and it was extremely unpleasant. I hope management asks them to cool off. I was just trying to relax and read my book and eat breakfast and they made that impossible. Would not return.

Lushe and her staff are the greatest! This diner is one of the last true great diners in Stamford (further, last true great in New England). The food is perfect. All of it is that comfort food that makes you think back to your childhood w/ Ma's cooking. They provide an amazing welcoming atmosphere, patrons too. It is that place you want in your daily life.

Gluten free is available and reliable. My daughter who is very sensitive to gluten ,can eat here worry free. The food is fresh. The service was quick and efficient. Jackie our waitress is wonderful. The 50s atmosphere is just fun and interesting. We thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast at the Parkway Diner.
