I almost never write Yelp reviews, but my recent holiday dinner here totally changed that. From the moment we sat down, the whole vibe just felt so cozy like something straight out of a Hallmark movie. It's the kind of place where you actually want to linger over a glass of wine, oh boy did we have greatly recommended wine! Alain, who genuinely deserves his own fan club, made us feel instantly at home. He introduced the brand new menu with such genuine excitement that it was honestly contagious. I loved that he seemed proud I picked this spot over the usual holiday prix fixe places I wanted something that felt fresh and special, and I got exactly that. The branzino was delicious, perfectly deboned (thank you, chef!) and had just enough of their own unique twist to make it memorable. And let's talk about the portions. There were absolutely no tiny “artful” bites here. When my plate arrived, I couldn't help but laugh it was so gracious. I even ended up taking some of the risotto home with me, and it made for an amazing little pick-me-up lunch the next day. If you want a holiday dinner that feels warm, a little bit fancy, and deeply comforting, this is the spot. Highly recommend, especially if you're lucky enough to have Alain as your server. Trust me.

We have visited numerous steakhouses over many years in CT and NY, and this one is one of our favorite new finds in a very long time! The food was amazing and given it being a modern american steakhouse, found the prices to be very reasonable. The bar area is gorgeous, we will definitely be going back for happy hours. It's beautifully located, with views of the golf course and has indoor and outdoor seating. I strongly recommend the ribeye, creamed spinach, and crispy tator tots...they were all delicious! Oh and the cocktails were expertly made as well...we had the Pear 75 and Grapefruit Negroni...chef's kiss!!!

First time at The Royal Green in Stamford, went for our anniversary. Place has a great vibe—classy without trying too hard. We kicked off with the seafood tower: crisp, fresh, briny perfection. The lobster? A little flat, like it had seen a freezer, but everything else was spot-on. I had pasta with seafood—cooked right, tasted like the ocean. My wife had the branzino—perfectly seasoned, perfectly grilled. Our waiter, Alan, was the real deal—attentive without being fake. Bottom line: damn good meal, we'll be back.

My wife and I had a wonderful experience at The Royal Green in Stamford, CT this past weekend, in celebration of our 40th wedding anniversary. We had been there once before, although it was over a year ago, not long after the restaurant opened. We enjoyed it immensely, and so we wanted to return for this special occasion. Everything was superb: the ambience, the food, and the service. The beginning of our dinner was propitious; our server for the evening came by to greet us, and we immediately recognized each other. We exchanged “I know you” looks and comments and then proceeded to recount snippets of the conversations we had shared at our first dinner there many months before. We were all delighted! It was like a mini-family reunion. Our server was Anne Marie, and she could not have been nicer. She was so knowledgeable, pleasant, and accommodating, and she made the evening even more special for us. We started dinner with the Maryland crab crumble appetizer. Wow, was it good! My wife, who had ordered a fish special the last time we were there, would not pass up steak this time around, and she ordered the barrel cut filet mignon with béarnaise sauce. It was superbly prepared and she had no problem finishing every bite. I had the bone-in ribeye and it was melt-in-your-mouth delicious. We ordered our favorite sides and finished dinner with the steakhouse cheesecake (she) and a special chocolate pot de crème (me). It was a splendid way to end our evening. And, Anne Marie made sure that we enjoyed every moment. She is the best! We are looking forward to our next celebration there, and vising Anne Marie again.
