I finally had the chance to try out Rye Ridge Deli after having it on my list for a while. The interior was clean, though it felt a bit cramped. On a positive note, the staff acknowledged me right away, and the ordering process was smooth and efficient.

Unfortunately, the disappointment came when I received my order. I got a simple ham, egg, and cheese on a roll—and for the price, I expected something more impressive. At $6.99, plus a temporary egg surcharge of $1.00, my basic sandwich ended up costing $8.50. The only standout was the yellow American cheese (a nice change from the typical white American cheese here in CT). But overall, it didn’t feel worth the premium price tag.

Feeling unsatisfied, I went back to my go-to spot, Liz Sue Bagels, for the same exact sandwich and a buttered plain bagel, all for just $7.50—no extra surcharge involved. That experience felt much more worth it.

Rye Ridge Deli wasn’t bad, just overpriced for what it offered. I had high hopes, but I’m not sure I’ll be returning anytime soon.

I was just charged 17.00 for a baloney and cheese sandwich with 2 slices of cheese. This place is a robbery and should be avoided at all costs.

stopped by this deli for the first time and ordered to go. my total was $38 for a small bag of chips, lemonade, a TINY stuffed cabbage and a chicken caesar wrap. food was so mediocre, took almost 30 MINUTES to come out and was still lukewarm!!! and i got sick the next morning. will NOT be returning. save your money.

One of the best Jewish Deli's in the area. Second to only Gold's in Westport, CT. They've been in business for over 25 years and that's how long I've been going. Their chicken liver pate is incredible, their prices are steep but the quality is worth it. Be prepared to pay $22 for a sandwich off the menu (comes with fries and cole slaw). I recently had The Rachel sandwich. Hot pastrami on rye with melted Swiss and Russian dressing. I added some slaw into the sandwich and it was absolutely incredible. Get their matzo ball soup too. Delicious.

Cupcakes were stale and had a horrible taste - the same taste when you leave something uncovered in your fridge too long. While they looked good, didn’t even finish them and threw them in the garbage, terrible and overpriced.

I am very disappointed in the price and quality.

After my shock of spending $25 per sandwich for a pastrami and swiss, it took me 5 minutes to get home, and the rye bread was completely soggy. It was the worst $100 on lunch I have ever spent.

When I told my cousins where I went, they told me I should have asked. This place is known for their high prices and not great quality.

Never again.

Overpriced and tastless. Asked for a turkey sandwiich with avocado on rye with mayo. It took a long time for them to make it and I was charged $16 for this small tasteless, dry sandwich! $3.99 for a CAN of soda! Absurd! I feel taken advantage of

The food is pretty good but the prices are a ridiculous. $6 for a stale muffin is a bit much.

Been going there for years and everything was impeccable
Now the service is almost non existent...the food sucks...this place is nothing like it was a few years ago
Go somewhere else if you want good food

Absolute rip off for tasteless food. $15 for a chicken wrap with lettuce and tomato that tasted like a two year old made it. Will never go there again!

This place should be illegal. The prices are worse than NYC and the food is absolutely awful. And they are extremely slow. Do not go or you’ll be disappointed.

I almost fell on the floor when they told me what I owe. $16 and change for a plain turkey sandwich. Literally 2 pieces of white toast and turkey. SIXTEEN dollars!!!! Did they have to raise and kill the turkey themselves! I am disgusted. No way any sandwich let alone this one should cost this much! DO NOT GO HERE!!!!! I am livid.

If you expect anything similar to a NY bagel experience don’t bother. A simple bagel with butter had no butter on it. When I asked to add butter, they globbed butter on and didn’t bother to melt it. When I asked them to melt it he said “what do you mean?” What a joke.
