We came down to Stamford, CT from Rochester, NY to visit with family, and had hoped to have a great deli experience at the Rye Ridge Deli. We were quite disappointed in both the service (our waiter ignored us for 10 minutes) and most of all, the quality of the food. We ordered the classics: Roast Turkey on Pumpernickel and Pastrami on seeded rye. WHAT A MISTAKE!!. The turkey was sliced nicely, but all the edges of the meat had a fatty grizzle that was hard to chew, and I had to literally throw away 1/3 of the pastrami since it contained so much fat and grizzle. I'm not sure how this place stays in business serving such poor quality food. With one iced tea our bill was a hefty $45. INSANE.

Service is awful 90% of the time. Food takes forever and usually comes out wrong. And they charge a fortune.

This place is both terrible and overpriced. Avoid. We got tasteless matzoh balls. The rye bread is ok but waaaay overpriced.

Good food and service but a bit pricey. I miss Katz's Deli for first cut brisket, so it's a treat!

I often order breakfast sandwiches for my crew in the mornings - they do a great job and I am pretty particular. Love stopping in there for lunch occasionally, staff is friendly, restaurant is clean and bright. Food is good and reliable.

WORST sandwich ever!! I try not to post negative reviews but what a horrible experience. The lady who helped me with my order was pleasant. But the guy at the front register could not care enough to look at me when I was waiting to ask for a coffee. Wish I didn’t get the coffee. It sucked liked the Monte Cristo. The sandwich “French toast” portion was so greasy my hands were wet. But the meat was dry. I tried to eat it as I spent $24 on a sandwich and a small coffee. How is this place in business with such horrible food?

There’s nothing like a good New York style deli. Unfortunately, this is nothing like a good New York style deli based on our most recent visit. Smoked salmon platter was piled with old vegetable garnishes, and lousy potato salad and coleslaw. The salmon itself was fine as was the bagel and cream cheese. The hot turkey sandwich came with a sliced iceberg salad and more of the old veggie garnishes. The turkey was thin deli sliced meat with less than good gravy and mashed potatoes. If you do come here, stick with the traditional meat or smoked fish sandwiches and you may be ok. Disappointing! We probably won’t be back.
