Sorrento Pizzeria & Restaurant

Doing a local renovation went to Sorrento’s for pizza for everyone. Hands down best pizza! The white pizza was the best any of us have ever had! EVER! We had about 13 people on the job tell me it was the best pizza they’ve ever had! Can’t wait to try their dinner dishes! Well done Sorrentino!!

I travel far and wide for good pizza. This pizza was delicious and perfectly cooked. Dough was the perfect thickness and the crust had just the right crispness. Cheese and sauce were perfect. We tried cheese pizza from three different places in Stamford side by side and this one won out.

Unpretentious food made with love. Clean friendly place we found on a road trip. Soup was outstanding, fried zucchini sticks with great red sauce..husband enjoyed a beautiful veal n peppers sandwich.

This place should be on the national list of historic places for all time. It’s just the best. Family owned, classic American Italian. The best.

Pizza went to the trash

The 2 slices of cheese pizza over $8.00 and was not enjoyable…dry like cardboard for the price?. And that did not include a can of soda for $2.00… Maybe?! other items on the menu are worth the price but this was not worth a return visit. If the slices were edible…I would return to try other options on the menu.

As a lifelong Stamford resident, I'm long overdue in writing this review. Sometimes you just take the good things for granted. From great soups, sandwiches, to pizza and pasta, and any main dish you can think of, Sorrentos always hits the mark. Combine that with great, family service, and you have a winner. There's a reason Sorrentos has stood the test of time as a Stamford institution.

It's very rare that I've been completely put off and disappointed by a pizza. I've even tolerated some frozen pizza before.That being said, I was shockingly disappointed in the Sicilian pie that was delivered to our home.Despite us adding extra cheese, it was dry (lacking sauce) and flavorless. Literally.... bearing no taste.Even after seasoning, it was unsaveable. We had tried 1 slice each and passed it on to a service person working on our home.Very disappointed and won't try again.
