There is quite a discrepancy between an authentic feel of the online presence with the physical appearance of the establishment and most importantly its quality food.

Upon entering the restaurant to pick up the order on a Saturday night the place looked abandoned. Not a single table was occupied and the place looked deserted. The order took a few minutes to be completed (not a big deal).

Once home after 10 min drive 4 out of 5 dishes were cold. Biriani - soggy, spicy and lukewarm. Chana - bland. Saag paneer (which was actually Palak paneer) puréed, lukewarm and tasteless. Bhindi (okra) fried with weird aftertaste and tossed with raw onions (even though the instructions specified raw onions allergy). A complete disappointment and a waste of $120. Upon reaching out to the restaurant I was advised to talk to GrabHub. After a short dialogue I was told that a manager will be reaching out shortly…. (He must be busy as It’s been 3 weeks)

Well, with such level of ‘service’, food quality, high cost and lack of accountability this will be the last order from this establishment.

I've been to Tawa a couple of times in the past and enjoyed both meals. Hadn't been in a while, and was in the mood for some Indian food so I went about a couple of Fridays ago.

I arrived about 6:30 ish and there was hardly anyone there. Ordered a special martini they were having that was flavored with cucumber and it was fantastic!! The food I ordered was very good and quite spicy, and the service was very good.

One of the best restaurants in Stamford! The food tastes homemade which is a testament to the quality and freshness of the food.

The owner keeps improving and renovating this restaurant! If you want to tastes perfection then this restaurant is for you!

Chill place to lounge and listen music. Even has a hookah lounge.

Only issue is overpriced food and drinks and took 1 hour to get one thing of samosa.

I would only come here for vibes and would spend my money elsewhere.

We had an incredible Valentine’s Day dinner at Tawa Indian Restaurant, thanks to the exceptional hospitality of Victor. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed warmly and treated to a fantastic evening.

The restaurant was packed with guests, creating a lively and festive atmosphere. Live entertainment added to the charm, making the night even more special. The food was absolutely delicious—each dish was flavorful, well-prepared, and beautifully presented.

Victor is truly an excellent restaurateur, ensuring that every guest feels valued and has a great experience. Tawa is the place to be. Highly recommend!

great spot to enjoy a night out with friends. i remember the old parties that we used to have with the local promoters. Jay runs an excellent establishment and offers a unique dining experience. I recommend this spot, especially the winterized bar patio designed for people to enjoy a unique ambiance and flavored water tobacco

I had an amazing experience at Tawa Indian Cuisine for Valentine’s Day dinner! The food was delicious—flavorful, fresh, and beautifully presented. The ambiance was perfect for the occasion, and the service was outstanding. The live entertainment, including belly dancing and Indian karaoke, made the evening even more special and enjoyable. From start to finish, everything was well-organized and exceeded expectations. Highly recommend this place for a fantastic dining experience.

Had one of the worst experiences in Stamford CT.

Ordered food for pickup. We ordered 5 items. They did not give one of the items. But charged for it.

We picked it up returned home and then realized that they did not put in 1 item. I called and they said they can only give if I drive back to them. Or they can only refund the next time we order.

Its a cold night, and going back was not possible.

And this happened to me multiple times in Tawa.

Please be mindful if ordering from here and check if they are giving everything or not while picking up.

I will not visit this place, nor will recommend it to anyone.

They have unimaginable poor customer service.

The dishes were flavorful and perfectly balance. They prepared the food with care and fresh ingredients. Our family and Friends complimented on how delicious and memorable the food was. Please sample their food. I highly recommend TAWA restaurant in Stamford CT. We will certainly ask them to cater our next event. Thank you to the entire staff at TAWA restaurant.

Ordered veg manchurian and fried rice via DoorDash
Manchurian was chewy and like months old. The whole things smelled gross and am sure it can make you sick. Never again
