I wanted to love this place because I live in the neighborhood. I made a reservation because I thought it might be busy on a Thursday night. Upon entering the restaurant, it was fairly empty, only about four other tables seated and a couple people at the bar. The host was having issues with the reservation tablet as we walked in. It seemed strange he was even using it as there were plenty of empty tables. We were seated with menus and asked what kind of water we wanted and then the host who was actually our waiter disappeared. A busboy came to give us water and when we asked if we could order a drink, he said he would have to get a waiter. Then we waited and waited with no drink order taken and no waitstaff in sight. There were hardly any tables there so this was astonishing that a drink order wasn't taken immediately. We ended up asking a different waiter to take our drink order as it wasn't clear who was waiting on us. Finally the host/waiter came with drinks but it took way longer than it should have. Our food came out fairly quickly once we ordered but the service overall is awful which is inexcusable on a night that was not at all busy. The food is very good but the poor service makes this a place I will never return to. Unless the nightclub is making this place stay open, it will never last.

The worst experience in Stamford*Scam Alert*Came here at 10, was given a menu with drink pricesGot charged double the prices of the menu without any notice because it’s now “nightclub prices”. Would’ve been common courtesy to let me know before I order. St Patrick’s day party was supposed to begin at 10. We stayed till 11:30 and nothing, total rip off to charge a ticket for a 10-2am event that didint start two hours in. Security is mean mugging everyone, jail courtyard vibes as they push past you and say profanities. UnprofessionalDon’t waste your time coming here, the instagram marketing is a total lie

Horrible experience. Waited 30 minutes forever for a “reserved” table. Waited 1 hour for food. My food was served before everyone else's in my party. I couldn't eat it because it's not polite to eat while everyone else is waiting for their food so it got cold. I complained to the hostess and she said she was going to speak to the manager, the manager never stopped by my table to apologize. My dish was $22 for 4 large shrimps and 2 halves of plantains!! Ridiculous over priced! They were waiting for us to leave because they placed us right in front of the stage and they needed to move our table. By far the worst birthday experience. Overrated place.

I love tequila escape! The food is soo good and I LOVE their margaritas. The vibes here are immaculate :) Definitely my favorite restaurant in Stamford!

I had to write a review before even leaving this establishment. I am a group of 10 for 11:45am brunch reservation. Atmosphere beautiful. Bathroom HORRIBLE. Women’s bathroom lacked lighting and toilet paper. There was no toilet dispenser. When toilet paper came they placed it on top of the handle to flush the toilet. Again there’s no light in one of the stalls.Food bad! I ordered a veggie omelet and received an omelet with whole broccoli. No mushrooms, onions were raw.Sharp tacos were bad. Shrimp was mush.My time was disappointing and haven’t received the bill yet. They need to do better!
